Ok so Titwi and I got lost this morning on the "Vegie oil" and"h20" and "Hydrogen" Theory...we just started wondering why...why dont they use the kenetic energy from the wheels that go round and round........
.........wow, yes the brains are really going now!
we really do have way to much fun together! Its such a treat to bounce crazy shit off each others brains!

In a way that is what regenerative braking is where the electric motors that make the car move work like generators when they are turned by the momentum f the car as it slows down. Also by using fly wheels on some large vehicles the kinetic energy can be stored in the same way for a short period of time. I think they tried that with city buses in brazil some time back. The thing is in most cases it works out like using a electric generating windmill hanging off your car when your driving the extra energy spent for the increased drag is much greater than the energy captured by the windmill .
wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round....
Ok so when I went and checked out my friends site on the oil and water bio-deisel toyota...
down through the blogs...I found that along their way they stopped to get more filthy veggie oil, and one of the guys helping them fill, uses it to heat his home...then Ba BiNG, Ive been so pissy about how much fuel we've had to suck up this winter in that damn gluteny furnace....When Titwi and I purchase our home, I want to convert my furnace into a
bio-diesel furnace...funny part is suddenly Ill have to go to McDonalds again after all these yrs of refusing to eat there...we will gain by taking their crap fry grease off their hands!
Free HEAT...what a concept!

I live in a state that promotes bio-diesel and ethanol,.... why, so the farms related agricultural business can make some money. It is a good thing to keep the cash spent on energy in this country fueling our economy, But it’s not going to be free, things like waste oil that are now a nuisance hazardous waste to be gotten rid of, places like McDonald’s might give away now, but as the bio-fuel infrastructure and economy get into swing that waste oil will begin to be treated like the revenue enhancing resource that it is . I think you’d be better off super insulating your house , and sticking with commercially available fuel . What a drag it would be to go out on a freezing winter night the all the restaurants in town , only to find they won’t be changing the oil in the fryers till next Thursday.
well, on that note how about a dual furnace...with one motor for bio-diesel and one for regular crude...so on that off chance...you speak of, you would still be covered.
But yes...I definately plan on upping the insulated idea of new house! double payne windows..etc....

Many years ago my brother and I did researchon self suficient living. One of the things that we found out was that a fifteen acre wood lot would supply enough wood for heating and cooking indefinintly with very little or no management. You can do it with only five acres but you would then have to mange it fairly well. Much like people who grow and sell xmas trees.pinemom wrote:wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round....

Always wanted to have a place like that. I like wood heat.

.....Black Hole To Black Rock City ........................
Just in case you weren't feeling too old today, this will certainly
change things.
The people who are starting college this fall across the nation were
born in 1987 . They are too young to remember the space shuttle blowing
up.
Their lifetime has always included AIDS.
The CD was introduced the year they were born.
They have always had an answering machine
They have always had cable.
Jay Leno has always been on the Tonight Show.
Popcorn has always been cooked in the microwave.
They never took a swim and thought about Jaws!
They don't know who Mork was or where he was from.
They never heard: "Where's the Beef?", "I'd walk a mile for a Camel",
or "de plane Boss, de plane".
McDonald's never came in Styrofoam containers.
They don't have a clue how to use a typewriter
Do you feel old yet? (Sorry) Pass this on to the other old fogies on
your list. Notice the larger type, that's for those of you who have
trouble reading.
Save the earth! It's the only planet with chocolate and wine
Remember: A good friend will help you move. A really good friend
will help you move a body. Let me know if I ever need to bring a
shovel.
