Melting Ice
Are spilled drinking water or melted water from your ice chest considered grey water?

If your melted ice has never touch food or any other like item, then it is just plain water. You can toss it onto the Playa but make sure to spread it out as to make sure that you don't create puddles.
If it has had any direct contact with food or like item, then it is gray water and should be processed as such. In the section of the camp I was in "charge of" (Use that term very loosely), I asked that all persons put their cooler water into the evap ponds just to make sure and to really make sure that no puddles were created. I stepped into a puddle this year without any shoes on and it is not ask fun as you might think it is.

- Location: Where it's always... Wednesday. Don't lose your head over it.
Beware the Massive Brain Freeze that can occur when you soak a towel in your meltwater and then slap it on your head as a cooler...Whoa!
CLEAN Water Dispersal Techniques:
-Soak a towel, and then swing around your head to disperse.
-Using a small pot or cup, fling containerfuls up into the air in a tight arc. Watch the neighbors!
-Bring a little watering can, the type with a wide many-holed nozzle.
-Bring a sheet to soak and then hang in your shade structure, acting as a passive swamp cooler.
-(Thanks to The Admiral for this one) Add playa to the water, and make a sign that says "Free Miso Soup".

My Brush hat has screening in the top, sides.. Phil has a hat just like it.. I fold a rag to a square the size of my head..Still folded, get the rag very wet..Slap it on the head and cover with the hat.. The air from just movng around evap's the water and cools the head..The damp rag also serves as a dust mask when needed..Again...less camp more fun fun fun.
My Gram showed me that.. Used it with a straw hat while haying..

Never heard of any one getting a ticket..It's a matter if the BLM desides there has been to much grey water dumped on the playa...It would be no more Burning Man..The Blm is the land lord..Just like any where you rent..You go against the rules....Your out..Same thing go's if you piss all week along side your camp..Or any other of these funny rule you think are made up by BMorg..leave not trace or moop has a whole new meaning when it comes to the BLM..After we leave, there are inspections..They can throw a fit over one feather and the cleanup team have to take the brow beating.. Yes Burning has a clean up team that have to walk shoulder to shoulder back and forth across this desert..They have to pick up every butt and speck of plastice..If you think that job is fucked up..After the clean up the org has to kiss ass for a permitte for the next year of BM.
