Those greenhouse bits are lovely!
The aluminum-alloy caps and fittings for chainlink fence find their way into lots of my sculptures and contraptions, but aren't very useful for loadbearing tasks. I use lots and lots of conduit brackets, which are cheap cheap CHEAP but strong when used with coarse-thread drywall screws. (To make a cross-coupler, use a small scrap of plywood and mount two brackets on each side. A dressier version that I needed for a more visible spot used a nice little aluminum disc and pop rivets. To keep PVC from sliding, drill a small hole and insert a screw as a stop.)
