If a Picture is Worth...

Post by SheriffHardinCity » Tue Feb 27, 2007 9:59 am

... a thousand words, than a decent Web Cam a top the Gerlach Burningman Office would be worth "....."???

Come on BMORG! Step it up! If you are going to even have a web cam in G-Town (which by the way I visit daily), then why not take the step to mount one that works well and takes decent shots in variable light... I'll throw in $50 bucks.

Looks like it's been damaged from too many people clicking on it.

... it don't get any better cause that web cam is a piece of poop... it's about as useful as an overflowing porta-pottie circa 1998...

Well thanks for your gift to the community. Since you have offered to get a 50 dollar camera for the ORG I guess all that needs to be done is get it to the ranch. Are you going to be buying new or craigslist/ebay/used camera? We will be sure to check this thread and the camera for updates to your wonderful gift to the community.

True... i will throw down a Mr. Grant towards a new camera, but a fifty dollar camera is what they have now. Maybe we need a fundraiser, cause the BM Community deserves a good view of Gerlach. So I was thinking of something like this:

...and yes I will deliver it. I was just up camping in the Black Rock mid January (Brrrrr) and will be going up again soon.

lets start the drive for a decent camera... eh?

It'd be interesting to find out how much traffic the web cam page gets.

Actually that camera wasn't all that bad. It always gave decent pictures last year. It started getting crappy recently. Might have been damaged by frost or water.
