I thought you offered to gift a 50 dollar one in another thread?

...ah Toolmaker...

close but not quite... they have a fifty dollar camera now... i said i would (and will) contribute fifty to a new (implied better) camera...

maybe we should have a bake sale at the water tower or something... but it would be sooo awesome to see a decent shot of that area remotely. a lot of people use it to guage the weather before traveling up there. me, i'm also obsessed with the black rock so i must visit that page every day.

... oh and as i also said in a that previous thread... i'll deliver the new, improved camera as well...

Rebbi,

Are you pouring a red/orange liquid onto the SACRED PLAYA in that photo????

I will not comment on the man tit that appears to be protruding just under your right arm.

Nor do I want to know about the loin cloth/red feather duster rig on your bike.

Different strokes for different folks.

PS – On the feather duster, Is it geared or only one speed? PM me.

Ya know... I like this!!!

Expand the camera net - a new one at the water tower (with a tighter upload frequency), and maybe one pointing up towards the 447/34 cutoff... but make it remotable and let people steer it a bit. Then one at the Ranch pointing at the playa. Hmmm??? Yeah.

Of course, that means you've just used up the entire phone system bandwidth going into and out of Gerlach! **giggels** But the idea is a cool idea.

And one at the SF office? Hmmm... maybe aimed into... hmmm.. The 1st floor? Naw, that might get dead. I know!! - the main lobby area? Or better, the kitchen? Now *that* would be cool... The Burning Kitchen, SF. But seriously, it'd be cool to see all the Burner-archy in their natural habitat. Maybe even an occasional (snd shut-offable) audio feed... and would double as a security cam. ;) Maybe after all the legal BS calms down...

Wonder what kind of $$$ we're talking. Maybe make it an art grant project one year? I *know* there's the techie expertise to do it within the gang... Hey, if that gang at NASA can do it... why can't we??

now where cooking... i would love a remote controlable camera atop the water tower. and one at the ranch as well. the best remote camera in San Francisco is atop the Exploratorium. Their "roof cam" rocks. However it's currently down for repairs, but once it's back up you should check it out....

I've got to agree with the Sheriff...
the current webcam sucks, I too, check it often, and lately it's been pretty weak. A new improved one is needed!

How about a walk-through glass area like they have at some film studios,
at the sf offices?
