Damn I hate doin' taxes.

However I am ready to celibrte a litle. My oldest son wants to learn how to carve. Well I haven't tried to do tht since I bunged up my hands. But how could I say no? My right hand is much beter but the left one still feels like it has ben worked over with a rubber mallet. I'm left handed too. anyway I bought him a set of carving knives for his birthday and went over this weekend and was able to do the carving without too much trouble. Cool Huh?

That's awesome, Box...

and you are correct, Mozy. It's only money and there's more out there. and none of it is really worht anything anyways. Think of it this way... Now you dont' have to worry about what to do with that part of it, 'cuase its gone. Really, if you look at it that way, its a relief!!

A friend highly recommends japanese carving tools.
He got a set from the Japanese Woodworker.
Says they beat his sheffield steel stuff.

Only money, but money equals food ,a place to live, mobility, and heat, all really good things if you got the money for them.

But If you don't I guess you aren't worryed about taxes

I am sorry you made too much money last year, Mozy.

To avoid this problem in the future, maybe find some needy artist who is in Graduate school or something, and make large tax deductible donations in her name to her... oh - I mean, 'their'...name....anyway... to their univeristy art dept or something?

You know- instead of paying the taxes later ???

Just an idea- ;)

I will have to look into those. My old set is still in KY. I did find a really nice set at harbor Freight. I have done all of my carving with an inexpensive Stanley set that I got 25 years ago and xacto knives. Broke the tip on one of them about 2 years ago and let someone talk me into another set of a different style. Flexknives I think. I hate them. But I am still looling into geting my self another set.
