Healthy food and Medicine clinic on the playa

Post by HeartofGreen » Mon Feb 26, 2007 8:14 pm

My inspiration for my trip to the Green man is to bring lots of medicine and healthy food. I am coming from The dawnland (eastcoast) and will be traveling in a converted school bus and will be packed solid with everything form Nettle to chaga. the idea is to make available for trade and for emergence- y's good forest and herbal medicine.

I will also have solar cookers, insulated cookers, and 500w of solar panels on the bus.

i am wanting to connect with other herbalists, shamans, druids, and natives who would like to add or augment this or who can point me in the direction of some existing group to be a part of.javascript:emoticon(':D')
Very Happy

I am putting together a tribe to caravan with from the east and will most likely collect and stuff on the way as well.

I will be looking for lots of white sage, sweet grass, other smudging herbs,
devils claw(for joint ailments) and any other western anti inflammatories, as well as immune stimulants/ and poultice based herbs for sunburn.

one concept i have is to do a evolution ritual for the eclipse where we offer service in ways of manifesting health, passion, and attraction for a new beginning for society.

I ahve some great ideas but am looking for others who see BM as a tool for transformation and new beginnings!

FYI- first year BMer but long time nevada explorer and have been to the playa and at lake paiute for a solstice solar eclipse- that was mystical!

PS don't call it Pyramid lake it pisses me off! javascript:emoticon(':x')
Mad :x
look forward to what y'alls got to say!

sounds awesome...you might try to connect with HeeBeeGeeBee Healing camp, a large,well-organized camp(village?) of healers - they set-up a HUGE shade space and do bodywork, healing, and self-awareness workshops almost round-the-clock...great, warm, welcoming folks all - try looking them up in the 2006 themecamp listings for contact info...Welcome Home!!!

HeeBeeGeeBee Healers
In the most amazing City on the planet we can get a little overwhelmed, tired and just plan hurtin' as we run from art to art and the next cool event. When you need a little break, head over to the HeeBeeGeeBee Healers. 8000sq ft of shade and one of the greatest vibes will greet you. We will once again be offering Meditation, Yoga, Bodywork, workshops and so much more. Think of us as the calm in the middle of the storm.
We are open every day providing healing services and classes. Guided Meditation opens the day and is then followed by an amazing Yoga class taught by our world class teachers. Then at 10am the body work starts to flow. If you have an ache we might be able to help. We do get full quick but there are always new friends that would love to meet you and help work out the knots in our carpeted and cool healing space.
The HeeBees always welcome volunteer Healers. Do you have a wonderful talent in Bodywork and would like a clean organized place to play? Please stop by and lend a hand.
The HeeBeeGeeBee Healers are looking forward to seeing you on the playa.

Thanks i found the heebeegeebees and their site- looks great.

i am not sure if that is exactly what i am looking for but we will see.

i love their page and it looks like they are doing some really cool stuff. still didn't see anything on herbs or food medicines-

I'll definitely be visiting them at the least.

Still looking for others dedicated to medicine of the herbal and fungal kind.

Raw foods, living foods, and sacred foods!
