if the lord giveth and taketh,
sh'ant the anti-lord taketh and giveth?
as one side makes one larger,
and the other makes one smaller,
what do we presume to be in motion?
when i take understanding,
it's not to say that my understanding is larger,
yet we may infer that it has been refined.
experience has shown when i give understanding,
irrespective of the context: i do not become smaller,
yet the scope of my skillfulness expands...

he drank until he sort of passed out on the hardwood floor
in the living room.
I did'nt want to leave him there for the night,
and I didn't want to sleep by myself,
so I tried to figure out how to get him to bed.
I found a large Indian blanket,
I rolled him onto it,
and I dragged him on the blanket down the hardwood corridor.
He was quite heavy,
so this wasn't all that easy to do.
When I got to the bedroom,
just when I was trying to figure out how to get him
from the blanket to the bed,
he started laughing,
got up,
and walked really fast back into the living room,
where he lay back down and appeared to pass out again.
