20 toothpicks cut and glued into miniature people 1:87th scale. Artists shot while placing the first one for "arson/terrorism" attempt.

High School

Post by gyre » Thu Mar 01, 2007 5:00 am

In high school I had a principal who was so insane that we thought up things that didn't have rules against them.
He would come on the loudspeaker and make a new rule with no explanation.
He sounded more and more insane as time went by.
That's what this boston nonsense reminds me of.

He would announce things like-
No visiting other schools during school hours.
(That became system wide. My fault. There was this girl...)
No driving on the athletic areas.
No newspaper distribution at school.
(I wrote for a music paper. Non-political. Sold some at school. He tried to have me arrested for obscenity. Priceless seeing the sheriff's explaining it wasn't illegal what with this being america and all.)
No climbing around in the false ceilings.

I can't remember the funniest ones.
We just tried to do something so weird there was no rule about it.
Then he would make some insane rule.
Ever do anything like that?

I think the kind of repression boston is pushing guarantees some kind of provocation.
What do you think it will be?
I'm thinking of harmless actions only.

*slaps forhead laughing uncontrollably*
...the bomb squad detonated a suspicious device in the financial district. The device turned out to be a traffic counter owned by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.

O * M * G *

That is just fucking priceless.

Pray, pray they keep doing it. This could grow to be the best thing since "Will It Blend."

I should have called this
What is the Funniest Thing They Blew Up This Week?

I saw a news bit about someone putting tape recorders under church benches.
They started playing during services.
Who can guess what the bomb squad did?

Uh...you support PeTA?
There's a video you really NEED to watch.

After you watch it come back and tell us that you support PeTA....I'd be willing to bet you don't...or if you still do there's some doubt that will be creeping into your thoughts about them.

PeTa: New York City's Animals Desperately Need Your Voice

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Obviously our hearts go out to every human being affected by the tragedy at the World Trade Center. This terrible tragedy has serious repercussions for animals, too. Due to the tremendous loss of human lives, there will undoubtedly be many animals left orphaned. Other animals are trapped in buildings that have been evacuated and to which people have learned they are unable to return. PETA's headquarters is receiving calls from desperate New York City residents whose companion animals are trapped inside now vacated apartments, some so close to the World Trade Center that the animals inside can only be highly traumatized by the explosions, the sirens, the noise, the shaking ground, the smoke, and now the unexplained absence of their families. We know of at least one 13-floor building, 120 Greenwich Street, practically across the street from the World Trade Center, where more than 20 dogs and an undetermined number of other companion animals are locked inside apartments without food or water or comfort.

These animals need your immediate help.

Mayor Giuliani has a poor record when it comes to animals. In 1998 he refused to allow desperate New Yorkers whose apartment building's scaffolding collapsed, the opportunity to tend to or rescue their beloved animals for more than five days, leaving animals to become dehydrated and starving.

Please urge Mayor Giuliani to set up a task force to locate and rescue animals in need. To many of this disaster's victims and their families, these beloved animals are members of the family and would be a great source of comfort.

End of Article.

I hear the Bmorg has given them a plot next to center camp this year

I hope that part is a joke.

Peta's over the top approach has marginalized efforts by people seriously interested in stopping species extinction and other real problems.
Their support of the Animal Liberation Front makes them a bad joke that animals pay for.

They Are Watching

Post by gyre » Fri Apr 06, 2007 12:16 am

The ATF just busted a rich teenager here for blowing up explosive devices just for fun and noise.
They admit he had no intention to harm anyone and never put anyone at risk.
They tracked him down from Youtube.
They say they check everything on Youtube.
And they say they make a lot of arrests from it.

Feeling safe yet?
Under the Anti-Democracy(Patriot) Act it is legal to spy on any public meeting or forum.

So who can paint something innocuous in an interesting enough way to cause the bomb squad to blow it up?
You can't do anything that would cause any reasonable person to think it is a bomb.
That let's government officials right out, of course.

Have fun, boys and girls!
We'll all be watching the news.
