 Darn! I missed all the activity while I was passed out! HEY! These aren't my clothes!

We had summer yesterday, today is more like spring or fall, and I have no idea what the weather is supposed to be like Wednesday.... (I think some Supreme Being has been into the liquor supply!)

Darn. I need to get back to doing some serious work now. I need to get some paperwork ready for tomorrow, when I head back into Madison for a doctor's appointment and some other stuff.

Hi kids.
I'm needing a stiff drink this evening.
Gin & tonic or Wild Turkey with lemon juice.
Crap, I hate computers.
Fucking micro-squish doesn't support ME anymore. And I can't find a decent flash player so I can watch Strong Bad eMails.

It is not the computers fault.

Some of the software developers just want job security.

Look on the bright side, computers are what keep this bar hopping.

When I was still in the corporate world, every time a new language would come out, the first example you would see is the "Hello World" routine. I kept waiting for a language whose first example was "Goodbye Bill"!!

Thanks BC and BB.

I just don't want to have to spend money on an OS when I thought before this morning that I had a perfectly good one. COMPUTERS ARE THE DEVIL

It all started when I came home from werq, discovered someone had been in my house, escaped out the back window, had openned an Explorer (!) box, and a porn site, and came on my keyboard.

I needed a good virus checker quick, so I loaded AVG, not realizing it would be a constant pain in the ass. I cancelled it one morning mid-check, and it took a bite out of my kernel. This caused intermittent hiccupping, so in old-silicon-valley style I said: BURN IT DOWN MUTHERFUCKERS!

Now I'm kicking my own ass for not backing up my fav netscape version.
Yahoo doesn't recognize netscape communicator, and Netscape 8.1.2 doesn't recognize ME anymore. And you can't get an update of ME so that it will recognize it, as it did just this morning when I checked my fucking email before wiping my hardrive.

I'm going to stomp off and read a book.

I really appreciate the booze guys. Thanks.

That jerk should be easy to spot, just watch for the TP hanging out of his mouth.

Realizing there are multiple conversations going on, the jerk I was thinking of was the one that crashed this system yesterday. For the guy that hit Robbi's place, I would suggest an electrified chair.

I am trying to drink the flu away, and have had enough that typing is getting difficult.

How about yourself, how are things?

I'm alright.

Been busy working on a project for this year. I've always felt that I was a better suited to small stuff, but this one has sort of taken hold of me. I really should be writing up a post to share it with the rest of the eplaya, like I promised Zulegoona tonight...

But I'm just sort of enjoyig my wine at the moment and its easy to stay there.

Thinking about more solar for the camp too. And then using it to power the computers and sat modem here at the house the rest of the year.

Do you have any wind back there. Per watt, a small wind generator costs less than PV, and can work around the clock. I wish we had a more consistent wind here. When it blows, we really know it, but calm too much of the time.

That project, is it big enough that you will need to haul it out on a trailer, or is it self propelled and still just barely legal?

The wind here is really hit and miss. I've looked into a wind turbine, but I don't thinkk it would work for here. As you said, when it blows you know it, but often its 5 mph or less, if at all.

The project is pretty large. it will actually be its own trailer, with a road worthy axle bolting up underneath it. Four bolts out when it hits the playa and its ready to go.

Its a human powered art vehicle. I'll be starting a thread in a few days where eplayans can follow along with the progress.
