Michigan Burners

So... Ive been doing a ton of reading, both on here and the burning man website, and I first off want to thank you guys for all of the information you have here...

That said, I am thinking about going to burning man, but I would be going alone. The porblem with this is that I have no tansportation out to the playa. So, anyone from Michigan going? Would it be terrible of me to ask for rides here? I offer gas money...

My friend and I are seriously considering carpooling to Burning Man this year. We'd prolly be leaving from the Mount Pleasant area. Where are you based out of?

Have you contacted the Michigan Regional? Or the Lakes Of Fire group? There is usually a good number of Michiganians on the playa, almost all from the Detroit area except for a few....unusual cases.

Sorry I didn't see this pre-Burn, but I do hope you found the Michigan Burner groups. There are about 350 folks signed up on the Michigan Burners yahoo group, a number of active theme camps including Quixotic, Videogasm, Ubercarney, Burning Baby Jesus and quite a few others that are either Michigan based or have lots of Michigan folks like Nexus. Robotland is correct, currently most of the Michigan Burners are Detroit / Ann Arbor area but not all. We've got folks in Lansing, Marquette, and a growing contingent in Robotland's West Michigan zone.

A great chance to meet folks will be the October 6 - 7 Decompression in Yale. Details coming out in the next few days...
