I guess I'll find out in a couple weeks. Can you believe mylarry spent 20 years in the navy and never once hit hawaii? I'm hauling him off to the big island. Used to live in Ewa Beach(ish) way back when, so oahu doesn't always do it for me.

Oh fuck, I need a housesitter and all my nieccies and nephies are grown up and moved away. Anyone want to spend a week in nothern utah? Must love cats!

How about painting an homage to Shelly Winters role as Belle Rosen in the Poseidon Adventure. Guaranteed to keep small kids from straying into the deep end.

Finished my relief printing plate for Element11: Emerald City,

and created my first batch of impressions.

Looks like I'm going to need another bottle of woodblock ink if I'm going to do very many more. With my "Welcome Insect Overlords" and "Hope" Bamboo prints I did for Fear/Hope (respectively) last year, I waited until the very last minute to make any prints (literally--the ink was still a little wet when I packed them up to take out to the playa, though it was dry by the time we got there), so I'm ahead of the curve on this set, but I'm going to need quite a few more if I'm going to keep the Home for Wayward Art stocked all weekend. I'm also going to need some way to keep them from getting all bent up. Thinking some 5X7 photo display folders might work.

Now I just need to get to work on my Green Man blocks. I'll probably also need to build a method for keeping the prints registered. Not looking forward to figuring out that part of the project.

A simple hinged arrangement will work, but I bet Le Chat and others have some ideas.

They look good.

I posted my first pottie-list report, and am trying to compose my next one. I'm also eating better and power walking. And I'll be hauling out my printer to get the signs printed soon.
One step at a time.
I got a volunteer too. Pretty tickled about that.

I'll be in my blanket fort until further notice.

Nothing-to-Prove is here with me at BayCon. She has eyes and the skin of a face now, she'll have a pelvis, pecs and a workable jaw by the end of the weekend.

Final draft of my Green Man block designs. Going to start cutting the blocks tonight. Then I'll figure out how to make a loom.

Well, I had to take the jaw and face skin off Nothing-to-Prove in order to revamp the cable systems. I have her torso built and next week I'm going to rebuild the pelvis and put the whole skeleton together.

Last week I made her paws and puppeted them, they're beautiful! Most of the articulation is in the face and paws, that's what's taking so long. Once I quit monkeying around with those, I can sew the skin together. Thank the Gods for Fabric Depot! I can make a whole, beautiful, natural-looking 8.5' werewolf skin on a $150 budget!
