I got fuckin' scoped this week, and they found a fuckin' pre-cancerous polyp in there.

The good news is, it's pre-cancerous so we're literally nipping it in the bud, and I won't have to do the hospitalization rigamarole again, it's just a trip back to my GE for another alien-probe procedure and get it taken out. This will happen July 11th. Watch it be 93º in the shade that day so when I'm prepping for it, I can be fucking hot as well as miserable.

The bad news is, it's fucking pre-cancerous so I'm not cured yet. And, pending word from my oncologist, that probably means another round of chemo, or maybe Avastin.

So...more dietary changes. No more beef, no more bacon, it's buffalo, venison and ostrich for my red meat from now on. And I'm cutting 'way the hell back on fried anything. Goodbye Arby's, hello Sandwich Company!

ALl the IRS centers take as much time as they want. Lots of youngsters opening envelopes, and feeding docs into scaners. I am told that 1 in 10 gets kicked out. the rest scan correctly and are verified by computer as fast as you can scan them.

Wouldt a flat tax be way better? 17% for income over 20K leaves a massive surplus, 12% breaks even with the current fudning ( so i am read)

Is that 12%/17% after social security and fico? This year I paid the equivalent of 37% of my income over $20k even with a mortgage deduction. Self-employment tax (ss/fico replacement) was responsible for a large chunk of that.

I tell you... having to actually write a check for all your income taxes every 3 months really makes it hit home. You don't feel it as much when it's automatically pulled from your check twice a month.

No you don't feel it nearly as much. But I'm not so sure about the flat tax idea. I put that in the same bucket as idiot proof technology, escape proof prisons, etc. There's always someone that will find a fucking loophole or way to skirt around it.

Flat tax really isn't the way to go. The progressive income tax system worked fine before all the fucking tax breaks were given to the wealthy! Taxing the top 1 to 10% at 50% or above paid for a LOT of stuff for everyone in the nation. It was only after the government decided to give tax breaks to those poor, starving billionaires that the system went into the crapper. Trickle down economics was one of the great lies of the Reagan Era.

To add insult to injury, I have been having a migraine all day-- not one of the ones where I lose part of my vision-- those come and go really fast, but one where my head hurts all day. oh fuck a duck, my brother may be in the early stages of multiple mylenoma, fucking cancer of the bone marrow plasma cells. Diagnosis isn't finished, but he has 9% of the plasma cells, healthy is 5% or less, and cancer diagnosis is at 10%. oh fuck, treatable, but not curable. oh fuck.

My brother dropped by today after his doctor's appointment. The fucking good news, it isn't cancer. The fucking bad news, it is Primary Systemic Amyloidosis. Horrible fucking news, even with stem cell transplant after chemo, survival rates are 12 months. Or less.
