Has anyone heard from XtaG lately? After the event she practically vanished from the boards.

Hi Mozy, Nogganoddle!

Now if it was 5:00 I'd ask for a shot or two of Patron. It's been a very good week, one worth celebrating a bit.

I wish it could but I'm working for a VERY conservative place now and I couldn't get away with that. It's only 5 more hours to wait.

Better than ever Nogga. Thanks for asking.

My girl came by wednesday night and is due back in town tonight for the weekend, so there will be much rejoicing.

That was not safe for work...sheesh, I'm back to viewing the eplaya in a 1 inch high easily scrollable window again.

Thanks for the shots Sputnik...I'll slide mine off to the side for a bit later. I don't think the bank would like having me drink on the job.

for the most part it's pretty tame compared to other threads...tame enough to risk viewing from work. I could always pull it up on the crackberry but I'm too lazy to do that.

Anyway at least it's Friday and shots or no shots it's all good.

How come when we had career advice at school no one told us there was such a job as driving a boat that has Guiness painted on the gunwales around Venice. Now I know Iàve wasted my life as a secretary!

Oh BAS
come here
you don`t mean that
the last thing you want right now is to be alone sulking in a dusty bar corner...

come here....

come here....

((( SMOOCH ! )))Image

...you should stay busy.

Here. First take a colour test:

Image

...then you could spend a little time talking to my friend Image
...I`ll bet you could get a dinner date...she looks hungry.

...then if you STILL feel bummed about something, take 2 of these, try to forget everything and get a good night`s sleep...
Image

Sure. It`s been a tough week.

But REALLY....

...however you manage it....

...Have a great weekend!

Thanks. (BTW, that color chart makes my brain hurt! )

I've been struggling all afternoon trying to write a letter to convince unemployment to pay me unemployment benefits, despite my being terminated for tardiness, and the letter just does not want to be written, it seems. :( (And I haven't even started on what I am going to say in small claims court-- the collection agency hasn't sent me the materials they said they would, ##$%!)

Phooey! All I want at this point is to get a good enough job that I can get out of debt and get a bus to convert so I can take some nice, long road trips for vacation.

I'll take two more of all of those, please!

Bas, Don't force it. If the letter does't want to be written then this is not the time to write it. Sometimes the best action is to do nothing. Waiting IS. Wait for understanding. Relax. Change your focus. Focus on what is going right first. No matter how small it is. Then Think about what you want. No you won't be able to change what is happenning right now. But you will ber able to change it a little. The ripple from a pebble dropped in a pond does not reach the far side and come back instantly. It takes time. The wave of your misfortune is the result of a pebble that was dropped in the past. Think positive and focus on what is good and what you want. And when it is time to write that letter, if you should write it, it will flow without any effort. And all the stuff that is going on right now? Certainly work on it. I canot be ignored. But you don't have to let it consume your every thought. It will all go away if you let it. Certainly you will have to get through it. But it will go away. And only the positive will remain. If you let it.

B.B., working on a different aspect of it is what I ultimately wound up doing. The problem is, Wisconsin doesn't give you much lead time on these things. (Mostly I blame Tommy Thompson for many of these problems, but that is another story. [I am looking forward to being entertained by his bid for the Presidency-- already he's managed to insult the Jewish community...! ])

LeChat-- sorry. It is after midnight here, and I really don't want to sleep in on Saturday. Its my "day off" from unemployment and the court cases! Plus some friends of mine are throwing a "Thanksgiving" party for their cats and I want to head into Sun Prairie at some point for that!
