You know today was the first time I realised 4/20 was the commencement of my astrological cycle, the Taurus. My b-day is next month on the 18th, also a Friday.... double hurrah!

Unforunately I have to sit here like a broke-ass-mofo til my friend gets off work at 11 and drops by with supplies .... hopefully before midnight haha!
You call it malt liquor, I call it breakfast.

Why is Madmatt so excited for Hitler's birthday?

Ohmygawd Zane, we went from campmates to lovers in how short of a time?

Must be a new playa record, assuming (I had to delete her name because she might just beat the crap out of me) doesn't already hold the title.

I celebrated it. Yay
And the celebration continues.
I realized today that I'm in Recompression Mode.
And I'm warning my non-burner friends that it will get much worse next month,
and the month after that...and so on till I'm unbearable.
I'll be in my blanket fort until further notice.

not quite - the shops in amsterdam will have menus displaying the different kinds of shrooms available, the country of origin and what the effects are.
I thought that was a nice touch.

Basically I remember reading the menu ... next is an hour later and I'm standing horrified outside the tourist abomination that was Anne Frank's hideout ... I think "no way I'm going in there in this state of mind" .... then its another hour later and I'm giggling myself stupid on a train headed west.

Yeah, Amsterdam was fun.

But in all seriousness, I don't remember those head shops being crammed with all that hippie gear typically found in N.American shops .... again, never trust my memory!

Celebrated it, too.

I believe the number comes from a state statute forbidding possesion, possibly a California state number. Its kinda like the 187 thing for murder.

4:20 was the designated time for a small group of smokers at San Rafael High School in California to meet at a specific location and light up. The number originates some time around 1971. It has since been adopted by smokers the world over as the "universal time to get high."

Thats the story from Urban Dictionary. I used to see the "4:20" painted on bridges, buildings etc. ust like "John "3:16"
Thenone day Iwas diggint through the bible looking at every chapter, my buddies in the rig asked what I was doing and I told them that I was trying to find the "4:20" scripture cause nothing stood out.

They laughed hard and let me know I am a dumb ass/

I actually saw a documentary on that. It was a group of kids called "The Waldos," and it was code for, ahem, partaking under the nearby Louis Pasteur statue every day at 4:20. It started as "4:20 Louis," but was shortened to "4:20." Why Louis Pasteur is anybody's guess.
