What rolls on the playa surface?

I'm wondering if these would work out there they looked pretty fun and flashy...

they are rolleblade-type wheels that light up, but i'm wondering if they would work or if they would just get bogged down.

anyone know if the roller disco coming back this year?

Personal opinion.. they look like the perfect way to fall on your ass real fast. Now this could be amusing to many folks if youre in the right part of the city. The roller disco has announced plan to be back somewheres on here. That place rocks.. fuckin genius. We get some of the best minds in the country in BRC. A week really isn't enough time.

I got my youngest a set of these things for Christmas and, although they are much flashier and go over cracks and other track defects much better than the Heelies that he thought he wanted, he would only use them for 30 - 45 minutes before his legs would be aching from holding his toes up out of the way. He would relax his foot for a sec and as it touched the ground he would "trip" and nearly fall on his face.

It's probably only a matter of time before someone comes up with a pair of inline 6" wheels for "off road" blading...and will make a fortune.

Those goddamned orange balls that were out by the trash fence the other year. I made the mistake of kicking one and it went over and headed for Oregon at high speed...I had to chase it down on my bike and execute a flying tackle, miraculously avoiding busting my head in the process.
