I'm having trouble with the hat:

A straw hat gets eaten by the wind
an REI hat is like you think you're backpacking
An Arab headress is anti-semetic
A chef's hat is cool but no shade
My old fishing hat looks like I don't care

crap I'm in a quandry. I'd rather wear no hat and get sunburned than feel like an idiot!

"An Arab headress is anti-semetic"

(?)

Don't worry about it.... no matter what you wear SOMEBODY will think you are an idiot, so what does it matter. Perhaps, if you worry about it it matters....

I think I'll try a fedora made of aligator skin with 17 inch brim, fully trimmed with live wriggling bush babies and the severed heads of TV political pundits.

Get yourself a nice cowboy hat, something crushable. I have a bunch of different hats but prefer my Hemp Tilley hat. I'm gettin a nice hat in Reno.. looking forward to the experience of pickin out a nice hat with a real big brim. You can make your own chefs hat with a way oversized top and get shade.

Why is a headwrap anti-semetic? I was thinkin of gettin one in desert tan since they are so effective. I think they're called Shemaghs or something like that.

Or simply create an Integrated Shade System by starching your hair and combing it straight out from your head. Shade the top part with a salad bowl, fragment of pinata or highway cone.
The most important hat you'll wear is....The Hat Of The MINDDDDDDDdddddddd.....

If it's true what they say, your hat is a window to your soul, then I'll think of something
(My hat begins to hum!)

That hat site is a great link. Thanks Nick. Some nice hats and a lot are pretty cheap. Lots of selection and interesting choices as well. I'll probably get a couple from there.
