Dreaming of trying to get to playa. Doesn't look likely this year, especially with the way gas prices are going. (Right now I am trying to figure out how to swap my gas burning mini-station wagon for a Diesel mini-station wagon. Even if I don't go the waste veggie oil route, Diesel is cheaper right now!)

I've had one or two B.M. related dreams. Horribly inaccurate, with things like a grassy plain instead of the playa, or driving in what was supposed to be Nevada, but looked suspiciously like Central Kansas; however, still supposedly Burning Man related.

All greeters have been banned this year. The BLM has made this part of the permit this year. They are worried about all the early arrivals and not being able to keep track of who should get in early. So this year will have railroad crossing arms that will block the entry point. Then you will have to use the ATM type ticket reader which will then instruct you to place your eye up to the iris reader to verify that your on the list. If your not on the list your iris will be pulled out and hung from the cute signs that the lucky people that were on the list get to see while driving in. So sorry, but the rules are the rules... So stand in front of a mirror and HUG YOURSELF.... 8) 8)

I've had many of those. I think only one or two of mine have been even close to accurate. One funny things is that mine are typically in rocky, hilly areas. I wonder what that means about my psyche.

Last year I was greeted by a gentleman in his 50's, maybe 60's... hard to tell in the dust, and I never really pay much mind to that anyway. For some reason which I cannot recall now, I mentioned John Denver and this dude tells me that he was a good friend of his. We had a short little conversation about it and parted ways with big smiles.

Just another normal moment in Black Rock City.

I just remembered one where we arrived early on a desert island, which was the new location. The problem was that we crashed and lost all our supplies and we were early and the only ones there. It was a beautiful sandy rocky island though. IMO that might have been the perfect location for the event, had it been real.

I also had a nightmare that it was the last night and we were cleaning up and I didn't remember anything.

had another burning man dream last night. So far, none of these dreams took place in a desert environment. They have all taken place in the Colorado foothills with houses nearby. They also feature me realizing that half the week has gone by and I haven't gone out and about to explore the area. Maybe I'm dreaming about Apogaea.

What about attendies who bought there ticket from a private party who for some reason can't go or they have to many tickets. How will a machine know whos who? I got mine at the Melting Pot in Reno and the cashier did'nt take a picture of my eyes. I did fill out a form of sorts: name, address, phone number etc. She did ask for my drivers licence.
