Band Camp

Post by Lorgasm » Fri Nov 17, 2006 9:54 am

Just had this idea if anyone wants to utilize it. Band Camp. Yes, I was a flute player in Band Camp. Done giggling now? Good.

Here's my idea. Its a place where anybody can come and learn how to play an instrument. I could stop by with my flute for a bit and teach someone. Someone could bring a didge, a trumpet, a drum, anything. Have you ever wanted to learn how to play a sax....maybe you'll meet someone with a sax who will show you the ropes.

I don't know. Just a thought. Doesn't even have to be a big camp. Just a humble little place where musicians can meet, learn, and create.

Wouldn't it be neato that someone who has never been in a jam session finds himself or herself playin in a song. I even got zils and a spring drum.

So if anyone is lookin for ideas....There's one. I'm just bringin this to the table.

I would also attend in a "Band" camp.
-is there any camp like that?
the only difficulty concerning me is: how to get a piano moved to the Playa???

OBOP will again host a performance space...we provide a baby grand piano, drum kit, sax, trumpet, sound system with Mics and plug-ins,all in a beautiful circus tent with stage and pole(for dancers) - we'll be hosting 'campfire sing-a-longs', and guest bands, last year we had spontaneous LIVE karaoke(that pianist could play ANYTHING!)....sounds like this year we should have Band Camp reunion...stay posted for the time slot???

Band Camp sounds like winner. It would be cool if Richie Blackmore showed up. (Deep Purple and Rainbow fame)

A plan is what you vary from.

Destiny Lounge 3D will be at Bradbury and 3:15 this year as a part of the 404: Village Not Found group of camps! Come see us!
