I'm personally not into much of the techno but you can find some music that gets me and some of my friends into the mood. It's weird, sometimes bad, sometimes good, mutated or silly music that gets me in the mood. I put up a collection at http://tikifuckos.org, you can preview using the player on the main page. Most of those songs are freely distributed by their creators. The mp3 files have wonky file names, sorry. I have yet to have the urge to do a good organization job.

'I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night' electric prunes

Anything by Kim Fowley including St. John Green

Apeman, for the theme

Maybe the anonymous folks would like Davies song 'Alcohol'

Oh, demon alcohol
Memories I can't recall
Who would have thought I would fall
Slave to demon alcohol

And of course,
'I Don't Like Mondays'

When I think of BM, i thinnk of some of the most eclectic music line.

I think if BM has a natural resonance it is kind of a Tikkadee - Tikkadee - Tikkadee - Tikkadee theme, followed by an OONTZ, OONTZ, OONTZ, OONTZ

Serioulsy though BM I think of Random Rab - The Riddle
Mutaytor - Harods Daughter, Bassnectar, Lawgiverz, Kid Beyond, and on and on.

The Music at BM brings together every genre, and is one of the reasons I am attracted to it. I would like to see more grants for music - but understand the BMORGs position after reading their white paper online.

I forgot.
Anything by Black Sabbath played on harp or violin and cello sounds great out there.

I heard a great violinist playing classic music on violin out on the playa by some art.
It was wonderful.
I don't know who it was, but thank you.

server 47 -

go to http://www.lightninginabottle.org/

Top right of the home page click on "launch Music PLayer"

up pops about 25 songs, all of my faorites for BM are represented on there.

Utube also has snippets of live shows. Kid Beyond has some how-to type of videos on his mixing and laying of track over track. Incredible stuff.
Lawgiverz are crazy - the only place I can find em is online, and at BM though.

hope this helps.

Ever heard John Coltrane's "Ascention"? Now, first off: DON'T think it is 'typical' Coltrane...

But damn, if it doesn't make me think of the playa.
