Burning man the festival starts on the August 27, 2007, but what day does the man physically burn?

He's burned out mentally by Tuesday afternoon at the latest. Physically? Hell, a couple years ago he couldn't even lift both arms by Saturday night.

IMHO: If there's a god in heaven, the man would burn Tuesday night in an 'accident' involving illegal fireworks, various and sundry propellant and at least a couple of art cars.

OMG! What would all the Who's in Whoville do?

You guys have it wrong -

The man will be built out of recycled lumber, and then chipped into mulch for composting. everyone is encouraged to bring a gunny sack for their share.

I wish they would surprise us AND BURN IT A DIFFERENT FUCKING NIGHT. It's becoming SO staged and predictable. Let's burn it a different night to put some anarchy into an event that I can now take my parents to. And I'm 43!

I'm bringing mulch carry-home bags for everyone. I've got 39,000 plastic ones stuffed in a drawer, and I'll have a couple grand more by late August, I'm sure.
