Thanks for the suggestions, both of you... I think the sequioas will feature heavily in our plans all right, and we'll have just come out of 10 days of meditation, so i think we're pretty keen to kinda wander where the crowds aren't, generally be peaceful, and experience the perspective that i'm sure being around largest oldest trees in the world is likely to bring..

Peace,

Hey you're welcome!

Those are the two best trails that I can think of. Too bad that this discussion was only limited to the input of two people when there seems to be more people here that presume to know the place. Like I said, Sequoia is a heavily visited place in the summer. You will find Giant village overrun with tourists and its popular day trails. Sadly, you might find most of the park closed due to fire warnings and most probably active fires. But if you can the two day trip is the best.

Or by the way, you are the second person on eplaya to have asked this question and I always send my friends to this trail: redwood mountain grove- i'm not worried about too many people reading it here since only about a handful of eplaya friends will read it. Its really special as you will find out!

Expect a really hot and dry time. Let me know if the stream is running

Have a great time.

LOVE Grants Grove and the trail down to Ella Falls - home of many of my skinny-dipping experiences. I spent every summer as a student (and I was a student for fucking EVER) working at the Lake Sequoia summer camps.

Danger there comes in many forms - I remember stepping on and breaking open a hornet's nest one afternoon. I was stung 17 times and considered myself very lucky.
