satellite phones?

anyone else got a satellite phone
that my friend might be able to use early fryday morn
(to call in sick:)

if anyone has one id be more than willing to pay for air time 2 or 3 times. im sort of on recall status while im there and dont know how my work will be able to call me other than me checking in once in a while.

If you really need one out there, for work or whatever, then it thinks it behooves you to practice some radical self reliance and get yourself one.

Eh?? then your work will have your number to call you. Maybe you and Orangepeel can go halfsies on one. I dunno...

If I needed one, I'd get one. Elsewise you can make the bus trek to the Empire Store and use the payola phone there or at Unca Bruno's...

If you're really concerned and you think you'll need it, I agree rent one. FYI - You need to reserve it now. If you use it once or twice you'll pay about $75.00. I use to rent one but not anymore...

I just told them if it's an emergency they can get me via Red Cross message. I'd prefer not to be available.

It was a great feeling getting there last year, shutting off the phone, and not thinking about it at all that week!

Google will have kiosks in center camp. Also there is a wifi connection to the internet
