We're goin four wheelin in the Fairview mountains east of Fallon, NV, about 130 miles SSE of BRC. Location is near the epicenter of the series of earthquakes that shook the region in 1954-55. The biggest was 7.3. They the first earthquakes my parents experienced after moving to Carson City from NYC in 54.

Happy Birthday DVD!!
A little yardwork, a little Burning Man inventory out in the shed. Hollywood Bowl in the evening w/fireworks.
At dusk last year, a very large owl swooped over the crowd with some fresh squirrel kill. It was dripping. People were on their feet applauding. Maybe we'll get a repeat performance.

Borderline's going to ID, I think, to watch the trailer races (think motocross + demolition derby, while towing trailers) and fireworks in her shitkicking home town. My store is closing early, though.

Working on Nothing-to-Prove, listening to music, killing flies, baking a cake for my own brand of strawberry shortcake. Then later friends are having a BBQ, we'll watch the fireworks over Alton Baker Park, then go do our own fireworks in a parking lot somewhere.
I'm becoming a big fan of the big blockbuster fireworks. We set one off last night that had a 4-minute display and basically every kind of effect in one package. I think next year I'll go for quality over quantity and just get the big stuff.
