LET'S SPAM DISCOVERY CHANNEL "TATOO ANTRHOPOLOGIST"

Post by madmatt » Wed Jul 04, 2007 10:23 am

The guy who is doing a Discovery Channel show at Burning Man about ritual scarification, etc. posted his email on his thread asking anyone to email him if you have "any insight, knowledge, or relevant information" that might be helpful to him in his endeavor to produce a nice show for Discovery Channel so all the nice folks at home can enjoy Burning Man from the comfort of their own sofas.

[email protected].

I sent him an email already. May I underscore that he said "please don't hesitate to contact him at [email protected].

"...he and his film crew will make the quest to the 2007 Burning Man festival. Lars hopes to fully inject himself into the vibrant culture of burners, where he will search for yet another ritualistic mark of his culturally accepting identity....Lars, Halfyard Productions, and the Discovery Channel would greatly appreciate your help in locating a group of burners who participate in the ritualism of permanent body art at the festival.... If you have any insight, knowledge, or relevant information whatsoever, please don’t hesitate to contact [email protected] greatly appreciate your participation and we hope to see you all at Burning Man 2007."

Just wait until he has to go walking over the man's hot coals ritual tatoo initiation!

That always stops them cold!

Haha, maybe he's interested in undergoing this new phenomenon I heard about, ritual sphincter scarification. What? Discovery won't show that? Well then forget it right, no anthropological interest there anymore...
