Visa Charge
I think someone at Burning Man LLC has stolen my Visa card number.
I just recieved a call from Capital One that a charge was just made totalling over $6,000 in BM merchandise.
The last charge I made to burning man was for tickets over a years ago.
I'm calling my county prosecutor and lawyer right now!!!!!

I've gotten the same thing recently. I did not have time to report it.gyre wrote:I'm getting new threads but not old ones.
Weird.
The threads are still listed.
It doesn't make sense.
Does this happen to anyone else?
It happened over the shutdown.
Anything I set now works.
Weird.
I also have been getting the "it's too early to do a new search" just after I have logged in.
Just so ya know.
I've gotten some of that too.
Searches are getting no such topic too.

Not just you. It was basically down most of the weekend.Archantael wrote:Was it just me or was the eplaya running slow this weekend? There were several times I couldn't get it to load at all. Any ideas on what's going on?

The reboot didn't fix it, but it seems to be ok now. Haven't heard back from Spanky so I don't know what the problem was.

I noticed that during the times I tried to login that there were 20+ users showing as online. Could this be due to a denial of service attack of some sort? I was able to login a few times but couldn't load any threads it was so slow. If it winds up being a bad NIC or something cheap I'll pitch in a few bucks to help replace it.

Denial of service is a definite possibility. I noticed the web log file on Sunday was 10 times the size it usually is. It should have been tiny, given how little real traffic there was. Unfortunately I'm not able to read the logs so I don't know for sure.Toolmaker wrote:I noticed that during the times I tried to login that there were 20+ users showing as online. They were already planning on moving Eplaya to a faster server, so I don't think money is a barrier.
Did the font change abruptly around 3:50 pm or is it just me?

It's the area where you manage your contacts. I'm not sure how useful the buddy list thing actually is and there's probably bugs in it, but there it is.Apollonaris Zeus wrote:the "Contact Management" link is linking me to the "buddy list"????

I raised the same issue a couple years ago. "Contact Management" seems to imply that one could, well, contact the management of the site.

When I ask how many burns, I mean at BRC.

I couldn't reproduce this - can you list more specific steps? What exactly are you selecting on the search page (including the author's name you're using) and are you doing anything else between the search page and clicking page 2, like viewing messages then clicking the back button?Toolmaker wrote:Search feature results screwed up for me. I search for posts by author, after looking at first page of results listed oldest towards newest I click for page two and get "No topics or posts met your search criteria".
Only person it happens with is the theCryptofish. Zule has the second highest post count and I can search by author to page 2 no prob. Same goes for other users chosen at random. Maybe her post count is so high there is a glitch. Aside from defaults I only changed to view search results as posts and ascending order. If there was a case senitive issue I imagine I wouldn't even see the first page right?

Every time lately that I make a post, as soon as I hit submit rather than seeing the option page where I can click to view the thread or return to the main screen, I get kicked out and am forced to log back into the board. Usually I can go for weeks, no months without having to log back in. This started about 1 month ago, then disappeared for 2 weeks before starting back up again. Is anyone else getting automatically logged out after making a post?
