Wiki Brain Dump

I've been working on building a Burning Man brain dump (aka wiki). From talking to a few folks, there have been past efforts that never really took off. So far this is turning out a little differently - it already has well over 100 entries on things from acclimating and aluminet to water and waxing a bike chain - with sexier more interesting stuff sandwiched in between:

In addition to trying to get word out about what I hope is a valuable
resource, I'm looking a few kinds of help:

-Anyone who wants to contribute their knowledge: There's an amazing amount of it that deserves to be shared far and wide.
-Getting the word out. It's not useful if nobody knows about it.
-Links from other sites: As an extension to the above, Burnwiki will only be useful if its findable, though it's already starting to do ok in Google.
-Suggestions for a better name. Something catchier. I'm a utilitarian info-geek when it comes to the web.

If you want to get browsing, there's already some good stuff on there:

-Evaporation Ponds
-Bicycles
-Bloody Marys
-Showers
-Waxing a Bike Chain

And if you want to jump in and add some stuff, here are a few things needing attention:

-Burn Platforms
-Things that don't get used
-Law Enforcement
-Shade Structures
List of all currently wanted pages - and of course, you can add anything you like. It's a wiki!

What Sputnik said... but really, is there anything inaccurate about that description of frozen goodness?

It would be nice if someone set up a page where we could change and add things as we all saw fit.

That's every page!!! Just click the 'edit' tab at the top of the page - no login required! (Well, almost every page has an edit tab - the homepage is a notable exception.)

If you want to create a page, just search to see if it exists, and you'll also be given an option to create the page. For example: http://burnwiki.devildream.com/Special: ... ffle&go=Go
