Water truck!
Water truck!
So each year my camp hires a water truck to bring us lots of H20 for our super secret but way cool project. In year's past we've shared the cost of said hire, and the water the truck brings, with other camps that have a need for some H2O goodness. Is that you? Drop me a PM if you're looking for hundreds of gallons of water and wondering how you're going to get them to BRC this year....

Thanks for the offer but I'm good. I have a 20-gallon tank in the trailer and I'm also bringing 35 gallons worth of water bottles. More than enough, even if I get 200 people showing up at the H O W L Workshop.

H2O supply
Julia & I are virgin burners yet avid cyclists. Were biking from SF on the 14th of Aug to Black Rock City. As you can imagine carrying a weeks worth of water on a bike is difficult. Is your water potable? If so, how could we collaborate?

You will need to bring enough water in the RV to get you thru, but as it says on that page, you can make arrangements for a dumping. Good luck!

A plan is what you vary from.
Destiny Lounge 3D will be at Bradbury and 3:15 this year as a part of the 404: Village Not Found group of camps! Come see us!

Re: Water truck
your RV will not hold much CRAP.. There is no guarantee that you can find a pumper truck to pump your rig.. If you do get hooked up it will cost you in the $50-75.00 range.. CASH...night4day wrote:Hey man, i just got a road wearthy RV. You made me think will i be needing a water delivery? I have gone 9 years in mine 10 days each year and was lucky the years I had to have it pumped.. We only use it when you can't make it to the JOTS..
Same with the showering and dish washing.. Seen the rental units fill up on the 1st day.. Don't overfill the grey water and the black water tanks.. If you do overfill either tank you will have to ride home with the mess and smell..
DON'T use 2 ply T.P. use the RV style T.P.

Double second the last reply! You might be able to make it thru the week if there's only 2 of ya in the RV, but if ya have any kind of a crowd your holding tanks will fill up quicker'n ya can say Dixie...and those pump out guys? forget it...you absolutely cannot count on them to be there when ya need them.
We use the Porta Johns, never the on board toilet! We take sponge baths with No-Rinse Wipes, never use the shower. We use paper plates/plastic forks, never wash dishes. We use the microwave, never the stove top (no dirty pots)...get the idea?
RV's are a great dust storm refuge, place to sleep, store gear, but not the panacea people attribute to them.
