No Nexus, House of Lotus??

I just read the camp placement and am so crushed to find these camps missing from the list. Some of my favorite burn memories were made there. Does anyone out there know if the people involved in planning these camps are still going to have a sound camp out there or if they are just clean off the map?

Either way I think I'll survive, not like there's nothing else to do ;) but it would be nice to know if they are involved in another project so I can track them down on the playa :)

Both camps will be very present at Burning Man 2007. It's my understanding that House Of Lotus will be there in force, and Nexus will be taking things in a different direction by going fully mobile.

Add to that the triumphant return of El Circo, plus the enhanced/expanded presence of Root Society and Opulent Temple, plus new/emerging large scale camps like Moon Bass... and 2007 is shaping up to be a truly glorious year.

Update... the reason you don't see House Of Lotus on the lists is because this year they're not doing a sound art camp, they're doing a sound art car!

Have it but can't find it.
He drove the Nexus sound system in last year.

Christian runs an LA operation called Mobius Turbosound off the playa. He provided the outside sound for Nexus, and did a hell of a job keeping it finely tuned all week long. I'm not sure if he's involved in the 2007 Nexus plans or not - if I had to guess I'd say he's involved in the Green Moon camp this year. I can't seem to find his contact info handy, but if you check the LA burners tribe on tribe.net or with someone in Moontribe, they can probably get you in touch with him.

Reno shindig sounds like fun, but my girl and I are staying playa-side until Tuesday, so we can take our time striking camp and disassembling the art car.

No camp, but they'll have a mobile sound system, kind of like Garage Mahal. Honestly, this is maybe a decent year for a sound camp to take a break, as the things that other camps are doing is insane. Green Gorilla's beefed theirs up, there's a new camp called Coda that's been doing some great stuff, El Circo can always be counted on to innovate, and Opulent Temple's projects and lineup are completely, completely insane.

Anyone know anything about Root Society's plan?

Root Society is upping their domes to 90 foot and 60 foot (from 60 and 30 last year), and bringing back the tipis.
