Gumbys bath and massage needs volunteers

I am the guy who brings a full swimming pool and a bathtub. I spend the week washing women. I bring an air compressor to keep the bubbles flowing. Some might say that it can’t get any better, but better is my middle name. This year I mobilize the tub so that we can tour the playa while bathing and i have a better sound system. i will also bring my massage table. We may even arrange a shower. I hope to travel/camp with women who would enjoy being bathed and bathing other women and appreciate my presence. I have a lot of equipment. We can travel in my beautiful van conversion or meet at the show, it seats 7. I don’t need your gas money thanks. I will leave from Hayward in the east bay. I would like to arrive early. I can sand pictures from past years if you like. If this sounds like your kind of fun feel free to call or write.

Not to rain on your parade but has the water you plan to use for your mobile shower been approved by the State of Nevada Health Department? This year's Survival Guide specifically address public showers and swimming pools which seems to encompass the type of project you've proposed.

At first glance what you're proposing to do seems to run afoul of the rules this year. I'm simply curious if you've taken the Health Department regs into consideration.

And I may stir up a firestorm for saying this but your post just creeps me out. You're a first time eplaya poster, your showers seem to be exclusively for "women only" and then there's this line: "I hope to travel/camp with women who would enjoy being bathed and bathing other women and appreciate my presence." At first glance this doesn't look too good. Perhaps a clarifying post is in order, something that tells potential participants a little bit more about your on-playa history, or if there's others on here who know you perhaps they can speak up.

Indeed its against County Health Dept. rules according to the BM Survival Guide! And simply for good reasons!
Not to be a downer for you dude, but don't you think your post comes across as almost sexually predatory in nature? Clearly sexually biased?

Now....What exactly are those freakin' sores developing on your.....


Now, naturally, you would need to treat the water, and have it tested periodically, and changed periodically as well. Exactly what will you do with 1000 gallons of grey water? Now, STOP, and think what would happen if some kind of contagion were to develop from your pool? "Typhoid Gumby"?

Perhaps you can get the County to test your water, and give you some kind of anti-viral cleanser, as well as the green light.

it is the most fun for me spending the week washing beautiful women. They are all beautiful to me. They also certainly appear to enjoy it. i realize that my camp is not for everyone. we dont force people into the tub they line up. You can certainly set up near me and wash men. thanks for the health tips i will certainly comply with the rules and regulations. its funny the women who reply want to join me and the men complain. yes i am sexually biased, i like sex alone or with women. my van is filling up. i have a couple of spaces left. Others are certainly welcome to camp with us. but i can only drive 7. i can hardly wait.

I believe one of the best things about Burning Man is having the ability to be creative, and then implement your ideas into something that becomes a shared experience for EVERYONE.

It's wonderful that people spend their time doing things for others out there, like providing back massages, foot rubs, etc... and in that fashion, it would be great to see you washing people off!

However, it seems to me that you are primarily doing this for your own enjoyment. I'm sure I'm not the only woman who would feel a little strange with one guy doing all the splish splashing. Perhaps, if you didn't want to personally wash men off, you could certainly find one of your female minions to do it!! Clearly, this would be a more fair option.

In the spirit of unconditional giving, why do you exclude the male component of BM? Is it because of possible homophobia?

And of course, from the male view point, I believe it would be a bummer to be walking about on the playa, feet scorching and body dripping with sweat, seeing an oasis of women and water and not being allowed inside! It's a community out there, isn't it? Doesn't that kind of defeat the total inclusion policy of BM?

when i mentioned that the camp was "not for everyone" i was responding to those adverse to the concept, just as a bar may not be for everyone. i was not referencing some exclusivity. yes i am certainly there to share my enjoyment and i have expressed what i enjoy. most men seemed to enjoy watching my event. when asked i have turned no one away. We will not have a public pool or shower. my posting was addressed to those who find it their kind of fun. perhaps this is the wrong forum for that.

Yeah. Regardless of if people are creeped out or not, it's not like you kidnap people to bathe with you. If a woman or man decides to get a bath with/from you, then she obviously is enjoying it. There's really not much difficulty in understanding that. It's funny how people assume that just because they don't like something that no one else does.

Hillarious to see such random opposition to someone's camp at Burning Man. I'd say there must be at least a dozen more versions of your exact camp on the PLaya and I'd be surprised if no one's ever noticed plenty of women and men having fun there. If you don't like it, just ignore it. Pretty simple.

RE: the public shower thing. You are kidding right? 99% of the showers on the playa are in broad daylight. That would be like banning nudity at burning man. LOL If it were a rule, no one would acknowledge it. Rules like that at Burning Man take away from the event by selectively labeling certain activities as "bad" or whatever, when that's not for us to judge.

Again, I'm sure you people have other things to do that pick on some guy who enjoys giving women baths. Picking on people for their likes and/or fetishes is what we do in middle school, not on the Playa. His post wasn't degrading or offensive or vulgar or anything really. Just a post. If you don't want one, just don't go to the camp. Shock factor of his camp is only like a 1/10 so go complain about something useful. Also, the gay stab is lame. I'm bi, and there was NOTHING homphobic in that post. Nothing at all. If a dude likes women, then so be it. He doesn't have to include men, just to be PC. LOL.

New in the survival guide for 2007:

WATER

Burning Man does not provide water. You must bring your own. Large public pools and showers will not be permitted. Water for private use that entails full body contact or consumption must be "potable" and come from Nevada State Health Division approved water sources. If you have any questions, contact the Nevada State Health Division: (775) 687-7548.

Not too specific, but there ya go, that's the info this year. No definition of "large."

Personally, I hate the feel of water on my skin on the playa. Freaky.
