Don't break the law!

Post by wmartins » Fri Aug 10, 2007 8:18 am

In the survival guide I saw that "Even though Black Rock City is in a remote
environment, numerous Federal, State, and Local Laws apply"
. So I did some research and listed some Local and State laws that the guide forgot to mention:

http://www.dumblaws.com/laws/united-states/nevada/

Dumb Laws in Nevada

- It is illegal to drive a camel on the highway.
- It's still "legal" to hang someone for shooting your dog on your property.

City Laws in Nevada

Clark County
- An ordinance makes bringing a concealable fire arm into the county illegal unless it is registered with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Elko
- Everyone walking the streets is required to wear a mask.

Nyala
- A man is forbidden from buying drinks for more than three people other than himself at any one period during the day.

Reno
- It is illegal to lie down on the sidewalk.
- Benches may not be placed in the middle of any street.

I agree with this one 100%. If you came onto my property and shot my dog, oh you better be thankful if that's all I did.

"concealable"

Now there's an interesting word. What _isn't_ concealable?

(Well, except maybe this:

Fuck, I like that.

Is that a real art car?
"Everything is more wonderful when you do it with a car, don't you think?"
-girl by the fire, watching a tree moved by car bumper in the bonfire

It would be a shame if I had to resort to self-deception to preserve my faith in objective reality.

My grandpa, who lives in Idaho, has a grave marker for his neighbor's late dog, which reads "last damn dog to shit in my yard." And it was.
