Bravo. I'm not the cheerleading type, even if I have been known to wear a cheerleader's outfit on playa, and I have questioned more than one thing the org has done, over the years. But actiongrl rocks. Her recent participation on this board has been much appreciated and I personally would put my money on her, in regards to the whole "corporate," controversy thing. Specifically, that the participation of the businesses that will be there won't make a difference visible from the view of the general burner.

In any case, I've enjoyed reading your words recently ag, thank you for 'em.

Ron

I agree. It's nice to see someone who actually knows what they are talking about instead of just us making shit up! Thanks.

Count me in too. Thanks, Ron for saying what I was just thinking. I have been amazed at the metric fuckton of snarky bitching that has been dumped at the feet of the ORG recently - it just seems to have ratcheted up a lot. AG has been the soul of calm through it, patting us on the head without being condescending, and giving us answers that are well articulated and enlightening. Many thanks.

I know your participation here has made me feel that what we think is important to the people who make the decisions.

I gotta agree. I may not agree with everything you've said, but the fact you've come on the board to explain where the LLC is coming from has been a nice change.

It was fun running the gate at Element-11 with a bunch of Tragically-Hip Artistes, (THAs) this last year when AG came through. She got out of the car and said "Hi, I'm Andie Grace!" Not in a "Don't you know who I am?" way, but with a (reasonable) expectation of being recognized. As they started flipping through the will-calls, I said "Don't worry--she's on the list," shook her hand and ushered her through. It was a bit amusing that the group of people who fancy themselves the center of the "scene" in UT were totally clueless as to who she was.

I dunno. I hear she's gained some weight and has really fat ankles.

(J/K!)
We all love you AG. I don't know how you keep up with everything so well, let alone stay on TOP of everything like you do. You also have shown me many times over HOW to simplify obstacles & call things like they are- which is a pretty good talent to have. Thanks for being in ALL the places you are, sweetie.

Thank each and every one of you for a perfect closer to an otherwise completely manic week.

The answer of course is that I *don't* stay on top of everything, because that would be impossible...but that's another story. I'm just happy because we're almost there and get to go have some in-person interactions for a week instead...

Best of all, now that I have your attention, we can begin the mind control experiments. Muwhahahahha....

Aha! But that missing vowel is the difference between me and that OTHER superhero named "Action Girl", who came before me: http://www.houseoffun.com/action/ with all props to Sarah Dyer, the artist who inspired her

also, I am not affiliated with this:

http://www.actiongirl.com

nor, in fact, this

http://www.actiongirls.com (NSFW or kids, but S if you like naked girls with guns)

See? Missing vowel big important. I wouldn't want anyone to be confused.

Isn't it already common knowledge that those of the female type already have this control over about half the worlds population?

That was kind of you. As far as I know I was the first MikeVDS and now a couple others stepped in places. They could have gone MkeVDS. I guess a lot of Mikes have V.D.s.

The Graces are the beautiful daughters of Zeus and Eurynome.

The attendance of the Graces, Aglaia (Splendor), Euphrosyne (Festivity), and Thalia (Rejoicing), was the assurance of peace and happiness.

They wove the material for Aphrodite’s robe (Iliad, book 5, line 338). They also tended to Aphrodite when she returned to the island of Kypros (Cyprus), humiliated after she had been caught in the trap her husband, Hephaistos (Hephaestus), had set to catch her and Ares (God of War) in the embrace of love (Odyssey, book 8, line 300). The Graces bathed her, anointed her with ambrosial oil and dressed her in delightful clothing so that she might resume her loving duties.

Homer used the beauty of the Graces ironically to depict the horror of war when he describes a dead Trojan soldiers hair as being ‘lovely as the Graces’ before it was splattered with blood and mingled dirt. (Iliad, book 17, line 51)

The Graces are often confused with the Roman goddesses, the Charities.
