Linking Up Sound Systems
Linking Up Sound Systems
We are interested in linking up our art cars large high quality sound system with other art cars. What is the best method? And what do we need to get?
Okay, maybe I should rephrase the question.
We have this really nice art car. We have this really nice sound system in the art car. We would like to hook up to other art cars to broadcast when we hear music we like.
And I am not sure what we need to do it. Can anyone help us out? Please let me know what I need and where to get it.

My recommendation would be a wireless guitar (or mic) rig. Stereo if you can get it. That way you only need to get within a couple hundred feet of their system, and see if they have an output you could plug your transmitter into. Worked out really well for an event I worked on last year.
You might want to team that up with an assortment of Y adapters for RCA, 1/4 inch phone plugs, and XLR connectors, along with the adapter you'd need in order to be able to get to your wireless rig. That way, if they're open to the idea of you linking up, you've got the cable connections to make it happen.
Good luck!
