Well, karine and I took it across the yard tonight with her driving and just me pumping. Not too bad at all really. I think we can get her across the playa at a nice easy pace without too much problem. Especialy if we have a couple in the rumbleseat and trade out now and again. Of course, we'll have to stop at numerous watering holes along the journey to Terminal City.

I'm looking into Hit & Miss engines (or should I say Hit $ Miss engines) and thinking of converting it to veg oil. I think I could just machine one out with equipment purchased for the price of some of those things.

Is a hit and miss engine like the ones that were used on Oklahoma Jacks? A single cylinder engine about 6 inches in diameter thast was used to pump oil from half a dozen oil wells. I believe that the only fired on every other stroke.
Yep... you got it, Z Something like that. I like the idea of building an art deco one from scratch. Looks like I've got a list started for next year already.

They had a governor on them to keep them at a certain RPM. If the had no load on them, they'd hit a time and then coast for a couple of strokes before hitting again. Hence the name.

Hi ya Boxy - only three more work days? I have at least 5 or 6 to go. It's torture trying to get anything done here at work 'cause I just keep thinking Playa. I warned the other attorney in my office today that I'm coming in Monday with purple hair. Hee hee hee......
