need a couple people to interview for documentary

Post by oceanpearl » Fri Aug 17, 2007 12:19 pm

Hey,

I need a couple people who are going to Burning Man this year AND live the Bay area to interview for a documentary project. Hopefully someone who is new to the event, and someone who has gone before.

The documentary is about Renewable Resource Art.

The director I work with is from Japan and he has asked that I find a couple people to meet with on the evening of the 24th. He'd like to ask a few questions about how you feel about going this year, then later, on the playa, get your impressions on some of the art and discuss your thoughts on "green man."

There's no pay, just a copy of the documentary that will air on JNN network in Japan on Sept. 24th. And maybe sharing a few meals with the guys (their grand plan is prepare elaborate Japanese cuisine) Well... that's the plan anyway. I'm not the one cooking!

So if you're interested in being interviewed please contact me before the evening of the 19th. I know this is short notice. Yoshi just came up with this directive today: Must interview burners in San Francisco.

Cheers to all. [email protected]

It's too bad you are limited to only accepting SF Burners because I know of several couples that would meet the rest of your criteria.

Sucks that you're aren't open to folks from all over. Got any connections with the folks from Ninja Warrior? I just love that show.

You might try to get hold of Melissa who heads up the Black Rock Arts Foundation and/or some of her helpers. They live in the area, have been to the event for more than a few times and have a pretty darn good take on the idea of renewable resource art seeing as their entire camp in composed of recycled water bottles, broken CDs and a slew of other cast off consumer items.

PM me for contact information.

Dang, I manage to not meet any of that criteria! Not going this year, not in the Bay area, not a couple of people.... Huh. Well, I guess I have been before and am new to the event, though.... :P
