Parking Place

Post by Jane785 » Wed Aug 22, 2007 9:04 am

Hi!

Could someone please clarify the following:

1) Is there a "public" parking place with [some kind of] a roof?
2) If yes, how big is it? [risk of coming and finding it full?]
3) How far is it from the place - http://www.burningman.com/preparation/m ... 07_map.pdf
[or where is it on this map?]

Thanks!
~~~
You camp next to your parked vehicle.
Just to clarify, all the discussion threads here on "carports" are about portable carports that people bring to Burning Man.
Easier to just wrap your car in big tarp or fake fur, though.
Standard Parking Corporation of America has a concessionaire's agreement with the Bureau of Land Management to provide organized parking on the playa this year. To park your vehicle anywhere inside the perimeter fence of BRC requires a $25 parking hang tag that one can purchase at the gate. Donations of bottles of Patron Silver, or case quantities of PBR will also work in lieu of cash. Plan accordingly.
This is going to seem obvious, but every year we deal with this (I work at the BM garage) Please put your claim ticket somewhere where you will not lose it!!! We can't release the vehicle without the ticket.
