Gettin water in Reno an issue?

I've always carried it over the mountains, this year however were trying to be more efficient and pickup water in Reno. A friend was concerned that everyone else does the same and we might have a problem finding it in stock..

Anyone ever have problems picking up like 5 gallon boxes of water in various grocery stores?

Try getting a reusable container.

Was looking more along the lines of getting the boxes with two 2.5 gallon containers. Anyone have any input on those rather than new suggestions?

We picked up 4 of the 2.5 gallons at wal-mart right before the event and froze the hell out of them.

Worked fantastic, and there was no shortage of water at Wal-mart. Big flats out on the floor full.

So I'd say fill up here if that is an option for you.

The Albertson's in Sparks had lots of stuff ready and waiting for burners - big 40 gal blue plastic water drums with hand pump spigots, goggles, bottled water, etc....

We stopped at the shopping center on Keystone, planning to head to the water store store there... ("Simply Water" I think?)

When we pulled in to the parking lot (right off the 80, impossible to miss or get lost) it was like pulling in to BRC. Crazy fantastic.

The Albertson's store had taken over a large area of the parking lot as a water clearinghouse. They had pallets full of every type of water container (cases of single use, one gal, 2.5 gal, five gal, etc.)

The workers inside Albertson's were having a ball - along with the water they were featuring cases of GOOD beer in cans, dust googles, and EL Wire.

They also had a recycling center on the way back.

I'm definitely making that stop next time, most likely on the way in and out. (There's also two gas stations and a Starbuck's three blocks away...)

I've realized that hauling water over the mountains is pretty dumb.
