Yeah, I was pretty bummed too. But looking at the consistent reports of dust and seeing the dust plume over the city on the Gerlach webcam, I'm halfway thinking it was probably a lost cause anyway.

My healing eye took one look and tried to roll back into my skull in abject horror...

As hip as I am with any person's sexual orientation... exactly what does a pagan ritual or a lunar eclipse have anything to do with that? Let's just be absolutely stoked that yet another celestial event is taking place (like the awesome apex of Mars in 2004, I believe).

Yes, I may receive flak for this comment. Yes, it's justified. Such a wildly rare and amazing thing like this happening during our event is bigger than the politics of sex.
