I never knew how much I loved big explosions until Saturday. Anyone know the technical details of the Crude Awakening burn?

The whole show was spectacular - really beautiful, choreographed fireworks display and a truly heart-melting explosion and fireball.

I was in such awe that I couldn't look a way for a second to reach for my camera.

I want to see it again.

See, more IS better. Image

Did they use compressed propane to launch the kerosene? Through cannons or some kind of vessel?

There is a background story podcast on TV Free Burningman about Dan Das Mann (??spelling) and his crew. No actual video of the explosion but really interesting.

There was a box sitting at the Temple all taped up with a copy of a criminal complaint taped to it. Kinda scared me a bit, not knowing what was in the box and realizing any nutter could leave a bomb anywhere anytime at BM.

Wonder if American Dream theme will draw any bombers out of the woodwork?
