It would be more akin to your wife preparing a potluck, some jackass coming and eating it- then your wife torturing, then killing the jackass' family, and then crucifying the jackass himself after forcing him to watch the family genocide.

...Now if he would have created some kind of massive artistic spectacle to torch it, then I might applaud his actions. 200 thermite infused syncopated model airplanes
RIIIIGHTEOUS!!!! Damn, I have a pound of thermite in my shed. 199 more and I'm good to go! What a killer idea. (Who needs retinas?)

Although I don't think pressing charges for felony arson is the same as torture and genocide -exactly-, I'm having a difficult time pinpointing the specific differences. Mostly because I'm all wound up on thermite ideas right now.

BTW, I'm pretty sure I met you at the Demon Lounge in PDX a couple of times, not to mention outside of the World Market while Santa was trashing the wine section.

felony arson on federal land
Oops, my bad. Forgot it was federal.

I wouldn't place that bet now, by any means. I used to live near NAWCWPNS, a Naval Warfare R&D base. I know as a fact that you do NOT want to fuck around on federal property. Winning against the gubbermint in federal courts is like me winning the Miss America Contest. I would need an obscene of money, would have to fuck a half dozen people, and it would still be a slim chance of me winning regardless.

As already mentioned, Addis faded into ignored obscurity as soon as The Man v2.0 was on that pedestal. You could still hear people talking about it a little bit, but most of those conversations were among people arriving later in the week getting the on Playa scoop.

Although I must say, the moon shooting green lasers during the eclipse and torching The Man was one of the better explanations I heard.

Having an Addis in custody for felony arson on federal land (remember ELF) now makes asking for future supplemental operating funds much, much easier because you now have your 'terrorist.' As a branch of an underfunded governmental agency you've made a compelling case for an implausible scenario and you've made it stick.
I doubt the BLM will ask for anything, they will tell us, that we will accept this or else.

From a couple of Rangers I know the BLM is already pushing this, even though they where the last to arrive on the scene.

FWIW, I was referring to the local BLM asking Washington for more monies come the next funding cycle.

I have no doubt about that.
Do you think they will not try to play the local card also?

Actually, a flag burning camp might be an excellent idea, but you need to be prepared for some special spectators.

If the flags you burned were artwork and had no resemblence to any particular country, you could sit back and enjoy the fire while creating a diversion for camps that were not quite so savy, with the bonus fun of playing with those special spectators minds!!

Good to hear it!! (I wasn't there this year.)

That's definitely something that I changed in myself this year: when something fucked up happens, I ask whether it could be a good oppurtunity rather than immediately bumming out. Sometimes its almost a kind of epiphany.
Why not?
