The "Lucy, the Daughter of the Devil " video clip has moved down in the list now. You may have to click the link and search around for it, but its worth it.

Hey. I need some advice. And why not ask here, amongst my fellow denziens here...
I found out about a kewl job - promotional - in Sac. It's a fun job, and yeah, it'd be a promotion. Doing kinda what I do here, but more on a statewide basis. So I put in for it.
Then... I found out about an opening - lateral transfer, no promotion - but housing is provided (so it'd be like getting a $1800 a month raise) in Big Sur. Yeah, on the coast. Live in a park for utilities and a token rent. ANd run a really hot crew in a really famous area.
Put in for them both. Now, I may well get passed over. But what if I don't? Or worse, what if I interview and get offered both?
Do I take the Promotion, which would be a raise in my base salary, or do I take the lateral, which is an instant raise but no change in the base salary? I may not get a shot at either... but... yeah. Wow.
BTW - I'm eligible to retire in a few years. Add that to the equation. Both jobs were vacated by someone retiring, so it's not a fired or forced out thing.
Damn... I think I need something to drink here... That and a what would you do?

Howdy and g'morning gang...thanks BC turns out not a hangover but the nasty cold that Burnerbaby gifted to titwi, now was gifted to me...I think Ill gift it to the dog!
hmmmm that is a dilima BBSue, hmmm, spent alot of time at Big Sur growing up, and lived in sac-o-tomato's for 6 yrs...
Unless the sac'o job comes with a raise, I'd take Big Sur anyday!
downfall...you know that side of hwy1 is gonna wash off into the pretty blue ocean, and Im gonna guess relitively sooner then later....man you'd be up to your mutlucks in dangerous highway supervision.
But both do sound promising...
What about the Shell'sters? where would the easier place be for her?
