You'll _have_ to unite. This 1400-lumen bike light costs over a grand.

Of course, all we lighted folk could save it for the playa to light up the darkwads as we run them down. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I plan on mounting a combination darkwad plow and glow tagger on the front of the tank so I can just scoop them up and out of the way and hose them with glow stick goo as I rumble by.

Dang, that puts my glow-of-their-burning-flesh-after-I-hit-them-with-my-branding-iron approach to shame.

WTF, they put seven 3W Luxeon Star LED-s behind a collimator and want over a grand?

The loose parts for that rig including the glass are ~ $100.

1000% margin though, not a bad business.

 I got a plenty bright enough bike light for a heck of a lot less than that, and I seem to recall paying "only" a couple hundred! (Note: I did *not* bring that one to Burning Man, since 1) its battery would have run down well before the week was out, 2) I didn't want to risk its electricals corroding, and 3) I figured a regular bike light would be enough illumination (and I was right).

I wonder how long that thing stays charged for?

Its three modes include a low power-consuming emergency mode, which gives you up to two weeks' light using just 0.25W. Using its strongest battery, it will last all night for a month.

Well, that's not too bad, but I still am not willing to spend anywhere near US$1,000 for it!

I think theCryptoFishist has you covered then. Ask for the playa discount.
