Last: Previous or final?

Well previous is obviously fact and final is completely conjectural. It could be the final burn of all time - for me or you or all of us. Our lives are finite and the future unknown.

But I imagine when anybody says, "this is my last burn", they are describing a true and present condition of the heart. A feeling like a divorce is communicated.

I guess the only question then is whether counseling might help.

Seriously? Are you that out of touch with how many women use their sex appeal just for fun? Tons of women enjoy teasing, flirting, getting em all riled up with absolutely no real interest in the guy. Some seem to do it as a way to check out men - like checking out the merchandise, see how they'll respond. Others give the strong impression they do it to feel better about themselves.
To a guy it can seem like "catch and release" fishing. (ooooh. Sorry for the hook in the eye!!)
You learn to spot them eventually, and either play along or avoid them if they seem too flip.

all true, Dana, but I HATE being painted with that brush, because don't and a great many other women don't either. If you or any other man is getting that kind of attention, well I don't know, but it's not up to me to stop it. And there are plenty of times when I feel over looked because I don't play that game. so there are times when I find that men are very stupid and have a poor sence of self preservation.

I'm reminded of that dumb book that came out a few years back - The Rules Some women loved it because it taught them how to play "the game" better. (They don't trust themselves or men....) Others hated it for similar reasons.

I always thought that women were most attractive when they were just very alive, relaxed and themselves - no games. Part of what makes some of the times at BM extraordinary are the occasional interactions totally devoid of games, honest, direct, uninhibited.

and about them brushes.... don't we all get painted from time to time.
Maybe use a very fine brush with a fine tip, sort of minimalist.

I like the bit about getting on well with old people. It makes me feel better about aging and how I was a kid I liked to go to the old folks home to listen to the shut-in's stories. Not to say that you're a shut-in by any means - after all, you go to the playa! But the shut-ins never threatened a reach-around. I've enough of young men groping to have the old guys doing it to, since they should know full well they're likely to get smacked if they try. Then again, I probably gotta be careful with that since that might just be what they're after.
