I'm going to the 'other' Festival of the Desert. Is anyone else? Has anyone been before and has some tips/insights?

No theme. Just a bunch of crazy feckers in the desert.. without the Reno airport or RV rental parks down the road.

Hmm. Why not?

I was going to Mali anyways for New Year's. It works out perfect. Besides, I hear there might be an uprising in the north and I don't wanna miss that (it's the journalist in me). And I'm not talking about some guy with tats burning the man 6 days early.

That's what I love about it. The festival provides good support though. You'd be OK.
