It’s been a long long time since I read the,.. was it a short story or a book,... I just remember Ice-9 as an ice substance that was stable at warm temperatures that turned all water into it’s self and everything containing water froze,..... funny I don't remember thinking about it as an allegory for hate and fear, but I guess it was.

I don't remember much either. It was an allegory for the post-nuclear world, but there was some way that ants survived as a colony but that killed individual ants...

What a great expression. I find that, when viewing a naked-or-partially-naked woman I always look at the face first - it's now I learn if there's any point to looking at the rest of her. She looks like an interesting time.thisisthatwhichis wrote:I always liked this one.... For some reason.... I don't know why...

I'm practical that way.

*pokes through a pile of rubble*
I was sure it was here somewhere. I know I saw it. How did it get buried so deep? A massive duststorm?
Oh good, here it is.
*pulls the bar out of a pile of other threads and enters*
Well this place needs a good cleaning. I'll start with a pitcher of Pago Pago.

Laphroaig! My favorite! Tastes like regular whiskey poured through two feet of smouldering peat!
Straight up, please!
