Burning Tree

Post by The DubJunglist » Mon Jan 12, 2004 8:06 pm

04 will be my second year, and I am essentially Solo, thinking about taking a couple of virgins.
The idea is for a giant tree that can provide shade during the day for yoga classes/drum circles/whatever. At the end I would like to burn it and have it topple over and crash into the ground. The fact is, since funds, space, and manpower is limited for me, the idea is scaled down. The tree would only be 15' feet tall/wide, made from flat pieces of plywood put together in a fashion close to that of model dinosaur skeletons.
I live in SF and am looking for people to get in on this.
I am aware that this is not the most original idea, but I have a couple things in mind that would definitely make it unique.
I would love nothing more than to see this project go LARGE and involve tons of people and a HUGE tree year after year.
Furthermore, I would be into having a theme camp based around this idea, where inside of our tent structure was a tree and we all slet on platforms and hammocks, kinda like monkeys (very smart, colorful, and non-poo-throwing-oriented monkeys). This is my dream, please help me make it come true.
