HISPANICS CLAIM RESPONSIBILITY FOR STARTING CALIFORNIA WILDFIRES
Please tell me you're not surprised:
http://www.nationalmecha.org/archives/2 ... ss_re.html
On October 25th, 2007 a hoax website, made to look like CNN, falsely reported that MEChA claimed responsibility for setting the wildfires that have recently devastated southern California. MEChA would like to make clear that our organization had no part in starting these fires. We condemn the slanderous act committed by those who created the website, and our condolences are with those who have been affected by the wildfires.

As MEChA we feel that the actions of those individuals who created the website are not to be taken lightly, and view this incident as yet another malicious attack on our community and those who fight for social justice. Their actions have not only caused us to receive large amounts of hate mail, but have also undermined the hard work and efforts of those investigating the true cause(s) of the fires. In addition, these acts have created an atmosphere of animosity towards the Chicana/o Latina/o community at large and the community as a whole has felt the negative consequences. We are thankful to those who helped to expose the hoax as it could have led to violence against members of our community.

Currently, MEChA is working in collaboration with other social justice organizations and community members to build solidarity. Our community is tired of the passive responses to discriminatory and oppressive acts and they stand beside us as we look into pursuing further legal action.

Founded in 1969, Movimiento Estudiantil Chicana/o de Aztlán (MEChA) is a student organization that promotes higher education, cultura, and historia. MEChA was founded on the principles of self-determination for the advancement of our people. We believe that political involvement and education is the avenue for change in our community. MEChA has played an important role in the creation and implementation of Chicana/o Studies and support services programs on campuses and communities throughout the country.

A Teenage Soldier’s Goodbyes on the Road to Over There
By DAN BARRY

MOHAVE VALLEY, Ariz.

It is time. The fresh young soldier has a plane to catch.

People file out of the dimness of V.F.W. Post 404 and into the morning light. They chat and smoke and mill about on the parking lot gravel, then come together to form a ragged circle of support.

The dozen motorcyclists among them finalize plans to escort the soldier for most of the two-hour ride to the airport in Las Vegas. Just before raising voices

I'm glad to hear that Mecha did not burn the hills. They DID burn the American flag at one of their demonstrations in L.A. It was not shown on regular TV,,, only on the Spanish stations. I'm sure that the group has different factions that have different agendas. It's a divisive issue mostly because Mexico is so close that Mexicans who are here have aliegence to and identify with,,,Mexico, not America.

I wonder how many of those gunshots allegedly originated from the proverbial grassy knoll?

In any event here's some source materials one could use to concoct more bogus stories and uncanny coincidences. Maybe it was the lizard men? Perhaps the "illumi-nati" were behind it. Or perhaps it's all a Sciento-logy plot to kill off their opposition in their quest for world domination?

All those dead folk sure don't make the Clintonistas look good. Funny how each one of those deaths had a benifit to the Clinton administration. The Clintons and Bushs are soo bad its hard to tell who is worse. I used to be into the whole democrat party since I was just coming into maturity during the Brown primary. I was behind Brown but Clinton took the party so I voted along party lines like a fool. After all those killings, GATT, NAFTA, Waco, Crime Bill, etc I can't in good concious vote democratic. I voited Bush the first time around just beacuse I wanted change and hoped they would bring the work back to the US. What a fool I was, the Bush family is just as NWO orientated as the Clintons. Granted Bush hasn't used the term New Wrold Order as much as Clinton did in the media but the song remains the same nonetheless. With Diebold running the show I think I will likely give up voting until they have a valid election system in place. While I may have given up on the system I still have hope for the future. The plutocrats can't keep their designs a "cospiracy" anymore. Everything is out in the open and everyone can see it if they so choose.

The Clintons are small-time hoodlums compared to Bush. Bush kills millions of foreigners,,, Clintons seem to only kill Americans. They might not even be responsible. It may be the DNC cleaning up any embarrasing little problems. Bill's no angel, but somehow, I don't see him ordering the deaths of state police bodyguards.
I still don't like the idea of having a pres who uses the ultimate solution for any little problem.

Hillary, the flunky

by Dick Morris, former political advisor to President Bill Clinton

If you happen to see the Bill Clinton five minute TV ad for Hillary in which he introduces the commercial by saying that he wants to share some things we may not know about Hillary's background . . .

beware . . .

As I was there for most of their presidency and know them better than just about anyone, I offer a few corrections;

Bill says: "In law school Hillary worked on legal services for the poor."

The facts are: Hillary's main extra-curricular activity in law school was helping the Black Panthers, on trial in Connecticut for torturing and killing a federal agent. She went to court every day as part of a law student monitoring committee trying to spot civil rights violations and develop grounds for appeal.

Bill says: "Hillary spent a year after graduation working on a children's rights project for poor kids."

The facts are: Hillary interned with Bob Truehaft, the head of the California Communist Party. She met Bob when he represented the Panthers and traveled all the way to San Francisco to take an internship with him.

Bill says: "Hillary could have written her own job ticket, but she turned down all the lucrative job offers."

The facts are: She flunked the DC bar exam, yes, flunked, it is a matter of record, and only passed the Arkansas bar. She had no job offers in Arkansas, none, and only got hired by the University of Arkansas Law School at Fayetteville because Bill was already teaching there. She did not join the prestigious Rose Law Firm until Bill became Arkansas Attorney General and was made a partner only after he was elected Arkansas Governor.

Bill says: "President Carter appointed Hillary to the Legal Services Board of Directors and she became its chairman."

The facts are: The appointment was in exchange for Bill's support for Carter in his 1980 primary against Ted Kennedy. Hillary then became chairman in a coup in which she won a majority away from Carter's choice to be chairman.

Bill says: "She served on the board of the Arkansas Children's Hospital."

The facts are: Yes she did. But her main board activity, not mentioned by Bill, was to sit on the Wal-mart board of directors, for a substantial fee. She was silent about their labor and health care practices.

Bill says: "Hillary didn't succeed at getting health care for all Americans in 1994 but she kept working at it and helped to

create the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) that provides five million children with health insurance."

The facts are: Hillary had nothing to do with creating CHIP. It was included in the budget deal between Clinton and Republican Majority Leader Senator Trent Lott. I know; I helped to negotiate the deal. The money came half from the budget deal and half from the Attorney Generals' tobacco settlement. Hillary had nothing to do with either source of funds.

Bill says: "Hillary was the face of America all over the world."

The facts are: Her visits were part of a program to get her out of town so that Bill would not appear weak by feeding stories that Hillary was running the White House. Her visits abroad were entirely touristic and symbolic and there was no substantive diplomacy on any of them.

Bill says: "Hillary was an excellent Senator who kept fighting for children's and women's issues."

The facts are: Other than totally meaningless legislation like changing the names on courthouses and post offices, she has passed only four substantive pieces of legislation. One set up a national park in Puerto Rico. A second provided respite care for family members helping their relatives through Alzheimer's or other conditions. And two were routine bills to aid 911 victims and responders which were sponsored by the entire NY delegation. Presently she is trying to have the US memorialize the Woodstock fiasco of 40 years ago.

A quote from Scott Ritter on the possibility of war with Iran

"We take a look at items in the defense budget, the rapid conversion of heavy bombers to carry bunker-busting bombs on a specific time frame, the massive purchasing of oil to fill up the strategic oil reserve by April 2008. Everything points to April 2008 to being a month of some criticality. It also matches my analysis that the Bush administration will want to carry this out prior to the crazy political season of the summer of 2008."

9/11 is going to come back during the election. An FBI field agent, reports and it's ignored? We pay these people just to find these things out and no follow up.

It's a Clancy book storyline filled with plots and secret goals.

Iran is not Iraq -

IMO Iran will not fall easily, they have an organized army of modern weapons, and a top notch army.

So what do we do after we defeat them and we will at a great loss of life.
and then what? we occupy them till they like us? we come in kill a bunch of their soldiers and leave after we destroy what we want destroyed? if their nuclear program is all we want - we will do what we always do and have Israel bomb them again and again.

I guess time will tell

We can't realistically attack Iran because they have too many missles. They will send 1000 of them to Israel. Do you think Israel will refrain from replying with Nukes?
The Pentagon says that the "Sizzler" missle that Russia supplied to Iraq will take out any ship that we have,,,, carriers included. Our fleet was sent to Iran to be destroyed to precipitate a war.

The straights of Hormoz will become a no-mans land. remember that the Suez was closed for many years. We'll still get oil from Canada and Mexico but it will sell for international prices. Europe, India and Japan will be running on fumes.
It isn't just Israel that wants war http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php? ... iewArticle

The US wants to hang on to it's empire. It can't do that if it can't restrain China. The only method for that is to curtail China's access to energy supplies. There are claims that the west has developed asian-specific diseases, but who knows?
We're in the position of France many years ago. At one time France was a big fish in a small pond. As the pond grew, France lost her empire to bigger fish. The U.S. has tried to control the world and spread "Pax Americana" We tried to quit manufacturing and just finance the rest of the world. The rest of the world is quite tired of us and wants us to get a job. Cheny said that "the US way of life was not negotiable" What he should have said was that the US way of life was not sustainable. The US is fast approaching a level playing field. We're going to have to work for our money, not borrow it.
EVERYONE agrees that our standard of living is going to go down dramaticly. Our combined national debt is 37 trillion. The rest of the world is in the process of cutting us off until we pay it back. That's the main reason that GOV is trashing the dollar. We'll repay them in seriously deflated dollars. A big % of the dollars that China is holding are now worth 39 cents.
The current crop of Chinese and Russian politicians seem to be pretty astute. America is cursed with a roster of politicians and candidates that are ,for the most part, microencephaletics. [tinybrains] GB is a sterling example; http://rense.com/general79/resuh.htm
With "leaders like him, we don't stand a chance.
Our military is staggering. 120 vets commit suicide every week. Do you think that that might cut down on enlistments? The ones that don't kill themselves get the shaft from GOV. GOV has promised ctiizenship to latinos who enlist. The whole thing stinks so bad that nobody wants to enlist.
GOV has shafted EVERYONE in the cause of maintaining empire,,,, except rich cronies. It's twilight time in the empire.

So we're trying the diplomatic course first, in the case of Iran.

Wouldn't it be great if we pretended that all nations had ICBMs.

It really looks like the world has gotten too big for us,,, to control. Pakistan is expected to be the next flashpoint. Indonesia is expected to take it's turn at crisis. Both Pakistan and India are going to have problems when the Indus and Ganges dry up,,, maybe 15 years. Russia is stronger than ever. Russia and Georgia are ready to boil over. China adds 27 million to the workforce every year. What's a despot to do??? The wogs and bernies just won't stay down. Our founding fathers told us to avoid international entanglements. Now looks like a good time to gracefully withdraw, Britian had to do it. It won't be long before China sets us up in the Formosa straights. They recently surfaced a sub inside the operating area of one of our carrier groups,,, just to prove that they could. They shot down one of our sats,,, just to prove that they could. The sons of Sun Tsu are way to wily for our drunktard leaders.
We've exhausted our military, our treasury, and our good standing in foreign eyes. We're down to playing our last cards. We'll starve out anyone who doesn't play our game and we'll attempt to contain China by keeping them away from Mid-East oil. No matter who the dealer is,,, it's a shitty hand.
I don't post things because I believe that they are the absolute truth. I post them because I believe that they should be considered.

Bush attacks Iran on news that Iranians do NOT have a nuclear weapon.
"We must act now before there is a gun that can smoke!" Bush sez. "Our Intelligence agencies have confirm, I repeat, "Have Confirmed!"

Jamie Leigh Jones Gang Rape in Iraq Under Wraps by Halliburton

Atlanta, GA 12/10/2007 09:26 PM GMT (FINDITT)

Jamie Leigh Jones alleges she was gang raped by fellow workers in Iraq, but her parent company, Halliburton, tried to cover it up.

Jones, 22, worked for Halliburton/KBR in Baghdad. While in Iraq, she was raped by multiple men at a KBR camp in the Green Zone. After the incident, she reported the crime, but the company put her under guard in a shipping container with a bed and warned her that if she left Iraq for medical treatment, she'd be out of a job.

In a lawsuit filed in federal court against Halliburton and its then-subsidiary KBR, Jones says she was held in the shipping container for at least 24 hours without food or water by KBR, which posted armed security guards outside her door, who would not let her leave.

The Houston native used her cell phone to call her father, asking him for help. Her father called their U.S. representative Ted Poe (R-Texas), who in turn contacted the State Department and they had to go in and rescue her from the container.

Halliburton has since divested itself from KBR and claims that they are improperly named in the lawsuit.

Jones' story is now an ABC News story and will be used in an upcoming 20/20 investigation.

I also heard that Cheney took her first and GW Bush got sloppy seconds, but lets not forget all the arm forces that took the admin shaft up the ass.

So Barrack did some drugs hopefully when he's pres he can clean up the DEA and legalize some of those drugs he did.

I wouldn't vote for someone that didn't use drugs at some point in their life. That would mean that someone would be lying and we have had too many leaders that just didn't: Lead with honesty

Today on NBC, Katie Kouric, interviewed all the main presidential runners with a this question: "When was the last time you lost your temper?"

All except one lost their temper for the littlest problem. Not a good thing for a president that has the power to start WWIII

The only president candidate that said he rarely loses his temper:

Barrack Obama

Through I haven't officially endorsed a candidate, I am leaning to Barrack
