I'm hardly one to nay-say doom promotion, but you new folks should really be careful around those Apokilypticans. Good advice CO. The Lounge and it's camp members really need to be prepared for the best, as the worst always seems to show up anyway.

The better prepared to handle anything that comes our way the better the chance that 2008 will be the year that really blows everyone away.

For example, I would be irked to find out that someone forgot to bring enough lube for themselves to the orgy. That would just be selfish.

Tempting offer Mr. Opportunity, but I think little, Apok is right; She has a good idea. And I could use the dough ray me money.

Well the auction house said they couldn’t take it back even if they wanted to. They said they already spent the money and got a good deal on a lot of twenty-three 10th century gold vessels from the Nagiszenmikló collection or something like that.

And on top of that, it turns out my archaeologists made a mistake in the translation of the scrolls. The Monkees didn’t posses the Helm as I stated in an earlier post. It was actual monks with very wide feet, size double ee.

So yes Cryptofish you where right about the monks, I stand corrected. You can see how that would be confusing, Monk EE and Monkee.

And on top of that the archaeologists finished deciphering the scrolls and I should recieve them in a few days. That was good news.

Then I asked them to tell me what the scross said and they stated that they where in the Union and couldn't because it was Sunday and they where off work. So I asked what time I would be speaking to them on Monday and they said they couldn't because they where going on their mandatory 6 week vacation and then he hung up the phone. Anyway I am curious to what the rest of the scrolls translated too.

As for the Helm the archaeologists have already forwarded it to the Lounge using BRC Postal Service Express Delivery.

I called the BRCPSED and they said that it would definitly be there by August 2008, but couldn't garentee anything and then gave me a tracking number for the create.

And the Helm seems to be on it’s way to a Principality of Andorra transfer station and then on to New Zealand and then it just goes on and on. Odd routing, but there is nothing I can do now?

Mouse in the House Martini

1 part vodka
1 part ice
2 parts vodka
Sever in tall chilled glass filled with 3 parts vodka
Add 2 Olives screwed on a roasted mouse tail (If desired)

This drink isn't really for me because am not really into ice that much, but I gave some to a cop once and he thought it was pretty good.

I am on the fence about it though.

Ingredients:
2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 pinch salt
3 sticks cinnamon
6 whole cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
4 cups rum
heavy cream -- whipped
ground nutmeg -- for topping

Directions:

Put all ingredients, except rum and cream, and nutmeg into crockpot. Add 2 quarts hot water. Stir well. Cover pot and cook on LOW for 5 hours. (put Rum in now and theres no aclohol left in 5 hours) Add rum; stir to blend. Serve from pot in warm mugs with a scoop of whipped cream and a dusting of nutmeg.
