CALL FOR ART
Silent Art Auction
Benefits Faerie Sanctuary
as part of Solstice Celebration
The Comfort & Joy collective is actively seeking
art submissions for a Silent Auction raising funds to help
a legendary faerie sanctuary in Tennessee expand.
The Silent Art Auction is part of a night of sumptuous food and live entertainment celebrating the Winter Solstice from 7-11pm on Friday, December 21st at Mama Calizo’s Voice Factory (formerly known as the Jon Sims Center), 1519 Mission Street (at 11th) in SOMA, San Francisco, CA 94103.
All proceeds benefit the Short Mountain Faerie Sanctuary in rural Tennessee,
which has already raised 80% of the funds needed to purchase adjacent land and dramatically expand their healing space. Â
HELP EXPAND FAIRIE LAND ~ CONTRIBUTE YOUR ART!
An anonymous donor has agreed to DOUBLE the impact of the Solstice Celebration & Silent Art Auction fundraiser by contributing $1 to Short Mountain for every dollar raised during the Silent Art Auction.  So your art donation is worth TWICE as much! This is an amazing opportunity for a great cause!
Over a dozen artists have already donated unique pieces, ranging from colorful oil paintings, watercolors and photographic prints to hand-painted furniture, sculpted jewelry and inventive light fixtures.
TO DONATE ART...
...please email [email protected] for more information.  Please describe the art you'd like to donate and include your phone number in your message.  We highly encourage the submission of artist statements, biographies and photographs so we may draw attention to the creative process and promote the artist before, and during the Silent Auction. Â
Comfort & Joy is a queer collective that supports art, expression and community in Black Rock City and beyond. Â
