Not quite, though Zsu Zsu inspired it - kind of. Most traditional wine drinkers (Dr Pyro?) would probably consider this an abomination.

1 shot of 5 year old Bordeaux
pored over large scoop of Double Rainbow's French Vanilla Ice Cream.
Eaten with a spoon.

I've tried it with other types of ice cream and other types of wine and it doesn't seem to work as well. The exception was a sweet 2003 Dulcet by BV and a 2005 Lodi appellation Syrah.

Morning Bar folk...Nah, I could probably do the wineycream with the right wine, give that a swing...Its just that it has to be the right wine or the tanin's will over kill your palette and then the ice cream would taste soured.
I di like titwi's suggestion on the rich tawny port...a real burnt carmel one!

I dont know if many people have heard of it...but NUCHELLO liquer is awesome on Vanilla.
